My library system — I borrow digitally — just received a non-satirical book about Donald Trump and his relationship with God. The description describes him as (this has to be almost exactly right) a loyal father and family man. Not only was I annoyed to see this purchase, but I am annoyed that it was suggested to me

Ah, these fucks.

This made me ask myself who I’d want to be ... and I do have to go with Linda. Because I wouldn’t have to do a damned thing.

Ha, the story where he doesn’t want to use the outhouse...

I give a shit. I like podcasts.

Now playing

I think it’s a great show, because it’s completely crazy and off the rails, but has just the right amount of sweetness. And Linda is my favorite, especially when she bursts into song.

Oh, she absolutely was an adult when she made that decision, and as an adult she is responsible for her choices. At the same time, I’m interested in how women, myself included, process living under patriarchy. I think there’s a lot of denial there in order to function.

She was undeniably sexualized at the same age as Polanski’s victim, and I imagine her having to process her own past might have confused her on the issue.

This is why we still need a shade court.

The only things I care about in terms of seating are:

“Honestly, I’ve never met a Trump supporter in-person.”

Nah, I’m just a pain in the ass.

Do you mean Every Day? (There was a movie called Everything, Everything, but that came out a while ago.)

I just finished Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, which I loved. I’m listening to A Girl Walks out of a Bar by Lisa F. Smith. I have So You Want to Talk About Race on the soon TBR.

I just found out that Jemisin is W. Kamau Bell’s cousin!

A lot of adults read YA, I’m one of them. :)

Victor Lavalle is one of my favorite authors. :)

I honestly learned it from a show that Robert Guillaume briefly had. His white girlfriend used the expression, and he explained the origins.
