Obviously, as an actor he can find a well of empathy and sensitivity — or does a tremendous job faking it — but is so contemptible in his personal dealings. It’s more than a little mind boggling that he has no concern for the well-being of his co-workers — that he can both play a trans woman and then target trans

“I’M SO TIRED OF WINNING.”

“To me he’ll always be the scary car insurance salesman.”

The name tag is probably mandated, and so it tells you nothing about whether or not they want you to use their name.

My restaurant is in a small town, which I guess changes the whole dynamic. Everyone knows everyone’s name because we’re all literal neighbors, or have kids in school together, or frequent the same watering hole, or are RELATED. Or all of the above. I talk about my staff by name in Facebook posts. And when I seat

Shame! Shame! Shame! Sorry, I meant — Shame! — here’s your food — Shame! — poors! We’re hoping to — Shame! — find a way — Shame! — for you to eat coal! Shame! Shame! Shame!

It’s always tricky when you’ve feuded hardcore with someone, but then something truly bad happens to them. Unless you’re a monster, you want to reach out, but sometimes it’s better to leave it alone.

Rachel Bloom on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
