I can relate. I can’t believe I didn’t mention this in my post.

What I remember about that one is:

I didn’t really read YA back then. I read a ton of it now.

It was in the Fire and Fury book that he dyes his hair, but he gets to impatient and washes it before it fully takes/sets and that’s why his hair is the weird color it is.

I was over at A.V. Club, posting about This is Us, and how I would also go back into my burning house for the dog(s). Someone told me this was a horrible thing to do to my children. I think one of the biggest misconceptions is that every episode is a cryfest. You care about the family, sometimes the story line might touch on issues or memories concerning your own family, but you will probably not weep from beginning to end every episode.

I think he’s generally well regarded, but he’s not for everyone.

I knew she gave up the dog just from the reaction about getting a new dog. If she’d kept Louie, she would have worked through some of her issues in a way that would have left her at a different point today, and wouldn’t have been so raw.

My friend told me that Jack rescues the dog, the music tape, photo albums and a necklace from the fire. The dog I can understand but the rest is a bit much.
