Wow, Noxon has been through it, having worked with Whedon and Weiner. 2 men I had admired greatly earlier in the year.

I was really excited when it was saved ... and then it really sucked.
Um, this as a metaphor for what Trump is doing to his own party is a tad on the nose — er, trunk — yeah?
From what I can tell, it’s the May 31, 2011 episode, which seems to not be available on the Comedy Central site.
I seem to remember a Daily Show episode back when Weiner was claiming his Twitter had been hacked. Stewart said he went to college with Weiner and implied the guy in the pic was better endowed.
I’m all for believing the woman, and this is my natural impulse, but I can’t lie and say if the man in question was someone I knew and loved, who had never showed that side to me, it wouldn’t be tempting not to make that the exception. Another natural impulse would want to take over.
“We’ve all internalized patriarchy to some extent. I appreciate it when anyone is striving to recognize it in themselves and repair it. People are at different points in their own progression on this endless task of introspection and self-correction. He could do a lot more but there are many who do less.”
Yeah, I really can’t argue with any of this. :)
Megyn Kelly said, “I know you don’t like the term feminist—I’m not huge on the term feminist—but you were a feminist trailblazer.”
Irrational thought of the day: I deserve to meet a panda just as much, if not way more.
“You would think she could stretch her imagination to buy into the crew’s superstitions or at least understand what the captain means when he says he lets them believe what they want to believe if it gives them peace of mind.”
Yeah, “funny” story. My husband and I just went through a Who’s on First routine, because if you just say “that crazy motherfucker” or “that petulant man-child” or that “freaky-haired psycho” it’s impossible to tell from that if the other person is talking about Kim Jong-un or the shit stain who resides in the White…
So very true. And running one in a tight community means you’re always “on.” I guess Shelton is at least used to that part.
This is a tough one. I loved Mad Men, and so much of it was about sexism in the work place. I’m most confused by the men who really seemed to have known better, who in their writing brought strong women to the screen and made clear they understood the bullshit women deal with in their every day lives.
You used the word unfounded a lot. I am not going to go all Princess Bride here, but if there’s one thing we learned, it’s that the NYT article put to rest the idea that the rumors were unfounded.
That there probably ARE stairs, you just have to look for the switch.
Where you do you stand on parents making their kids hug and kiss assorted relatives at the holidays?
