Shit. Yeah.

I imagine she gets that, and if she doesn’t it seems pretty clear her new church will make it clearer to her.

So, what percentage of powerful men have recently spent a lot of sleepless nights staring up at their ceiling and praying they weather the storm and their stuff doesn’t come out?

I think even the good guys have “stressors,”and I’ve noticed when they act out of character there tends to be something bothering them. Wendy had the cat thing. Holden had caught Debbie with Patrick the night before he got the call from the guy on the school board, and seemed to passively encourage the guy to fire the

I guess Fincher said the cat thing was to imply there is a potential future murderer in her building on the path to, oh, you know. Torv had thought it was about how the victims only matter if someone is there to miss them.

Oh shoot, I just went in search of it and couldn’t find a reference in any of the Mr. Mercedes books, but had known I’d seen it. The mention(s) was in Doctor Sleep, the sequel to The Shining.

Also, there was a picture of the Overlook in the shrink’s office, and a “Cujo” walking down the street.

Also a little Ennis Delmar, but it worked for me.

Yeah, it was great. And “woke.” ;)

Stephen King’s son, Joe Hill, mentioned Pennywise in Nos4a2. Stephen King mentioned the villain in Nos4a2 in one of the Mr. Mercedes books, I forget which one, so I think the King Dark universe extends to the books by at least one of his sons.

You can only read Lauren Graham’s books in the voice of Lorelei Gilmore.

Wow, literally where my planned comment was going to go.

He seems to be pretty active with charities, including disaster relief. Is it okay for him to try to sell some stinky water now?

Period Sex is more like snippets of a song, though.

I find myself really fascinated with him since he lost his wife since he has been so honest about it all, and spoken about grief in a way that resonates. Because his late wife and I share the same first name, the special was especially jarring when he spoke her name.

LOL. I read Lindy’s book too, but don’t remember Patton Oswalt’s specific role in it, and probably don’t want to since I like him, and liked his special.

Really. I’ve long thought David Cross was an asshole. I’ve read his book, and he writes like an asshole. But this seems to be a case of ironic racism, which is still racism, but borne out of ignorance rather than malice. So, an ignorant asshole who, at least as of ten years ago, needed an education.
