This.
This.
For all I know this will win a Pulitzer but The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay—which is also a multi-generational epic about American life during and after World War II--that focuses on comics DID win a Pulitzer. I can’t recommend this book highly enough.
Okay, let’s get this straight.
I’ll paste a quote from the article you were clearly too indignant to read:
Dimorphos knows what it did.
She said “the showcase of genderqueer voices… made my decision to do a third special with them a little easier” meaning it furthers her cause to do the special. Do you think she should do it for free? You want to talk about hypocrisy, how about Chapelle punching down on marginalized people?
For some perspective, an asteroid the size of Dimorphos would obliterate New York City and cause 7.7 magnitude earthquakes out for about 1,000 miles.
Y’know, the headline and overall tone of the article almost had me thinking “what a hypocrite!” But the juxtaposition of her statement against Netflix with her statement showing Netflix has acquiesced to getting a wider range of voices on their platform seems like a win.
And you’re not anyone in particular’s fanboy yourself, I’m guessing. Just a good old free thinker.
It’s still fuckin’ weird though. I did not care for The Mandalorian’s digital Luke, Mark Hamill’s involvement be damned.
He’s more machine than man, twisted and evil.
Stone-cold take: Craig was a great Bond and Casino Royale is a top 3 Bond movie for me, but man did those films confuse “serious” with “dour.” I don’t need Roger Moore dressed as a clown, but No Time to Die really laid on the “sad Bond” pretty thick. Hope future films have more a sense of adventure.
Don’t give that twat any credit. He’s a bog-standard “both sides” moron at this point.
The Lion and the Cobra is the only album I ever bought based entirely on the cover - there was this shaven headed waif with the most soulful eyes and I could not leave the store without it.
I never regretted the purchase.
O’Connor is the definition of a hero - she should be lauded, not vilified.
HOLY SHIT why does Michelle Branch have to explain her perfectly understandable reaction?!?!
Some folks just hate joy.
Careful now, don’t say “y’all.” An idiot might try to upbraid you for it.
I’ve said it my entire life. Fuck y’all.
Some of y’all must be REAL fun at parties.
