First off, apologies. I immediately regretted posting that GIF and thought I’d deleted it in an edit, but apparently it didn’t take.

they really did themselves a disservice by setting this within the millennium the Sith were “extinct”. Such a forced error.

“Who’s that guy? Have we seen him before?”

The finale revealed the show itself to be merely a teaser for the appearance of two *major* characters shown in tiny tantalizing glimpses

My point is the writing quality change from stuff I’d expect to see in Star Wars to stuff I’d expect to see on, say, the CW.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Sorry you didn’t like it. I thought it was fun, and I hope there’s a second season. ✌️

But, sure - a century before that, even an outer-rim contractor had theri own sentient personal-assistant droid with multitool attachment that they spoke to as a friend/confidant.

the result is that every era of the timeline now kind of looks the same and can’t be easily reconciled with the original movies.

I guess I see Pip as a highly advanced multitool more than a Droid, and certainly not as advanced as even R2-D2, much less C3-PO, K2-SO, or L3-37.

Sure, but it’s also only, what, the second or third time it’s been shown in live action? And whether the Jedi believe their actions to be good isn’t especially relevant to the actual harm of their actions. I’m sure Christian missionaries thought they were doing the right thing by taking Indigenous American kids away

It’s not as if they killed the witches to get the kid.

Then again, so did episodes of Ahsoka, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Book of Boba, and Mando season 3. Heck, even the sequel trilogy.

I get the feeling that the author of this piece may not have watched the show especially closely. I’ve noticed that a lot of folks these days watch TV while simultaneously flipping around on their phones, listening to the dialogue and only looking up when they hear explosions and such. Not an ideal way to get the most

In this show, it is a *century* before that - but it “looks” entirely the same as the OT. The tech, the ships, the wall-designs, the props, the costumes and outfits

They did at least once, in the very TV show we’re talking about here, though I guess it’s less “kidnapping” and more “rescue” as long as you kill everyone the child has ever known first.

It isn’t about the franchise belonging in one story format or the other, it’s about that story itself.

As I will take any excuse I can to talk about the best band Nashville has produced, The Carter Administration’s “Seasoned Intimidator” might be the greatest ping pong song ever.

more violent jackanapes

Aaaaaay, it’s the guy that hates when people go into their parent’s profession!

Did you know that there are terrible actors that keep getting work even though they aren’t famous people’s children?
