Eastwood is only 8 years younger than Darren McGavin . . . just sayin . . .

I suspect there’s a considerable amount of self-mythologizing here. Green would have been 7 in in 1981. He missed a social cue and was terrorized for it, something that happened a lot in the 70s and 80s (to me, anyway) but I don’t believe for a second that he was making some righteous stand.

As long as David Zucker is nowhere near this production, it could be pretty great.

This was the episode where I figured out the problem with the CGI (inasmuch as there is a problem) . . . I noticed that everything about She-Hulk’s body looked more believable than her face. And then I remembered the recent photos that have turned up online of Maslany posing with the on-set actor that portrays

Seeing this space descend into full-blown troll shit-slinging has been pretty dispiriting.

More of a cad than a sex pest, IIRC.

I just miss nuance, is all. I know the internet is the wrong place to go looking for it, but the internet is spilling over into the real world now, and it’s killing discourse. But, hey, we had a good run. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I agree that the show peaked with Season 2, but I did a rewatch of the whole series during lockdown, and it actually holds together remarkably well when watched as a whole, even season 4, surprisingly, IMO.

Mostly I was just reacting to the tone of criticism, “The things dislike are objectively bad,” not “a sharp

Your implication was that seasons 5 & 6 were bad because Brown and Glover weren’t involved. Just connecting dots. Scoring points is bad for internet discourse, mea culpa.

You’re saying Season 4 was better than 5 or 6? That’s a bold thing to say out loud on the internet.

Glover missed most of season 5 and all of season 6, and Brown missed most of 6. It’d be cool if they came back, but their continued absence is no reason to scuttle the whole thing.

The Venom and Uncharted director will maestro the upcoming third movie

I mean, we all remember the last time Marvel did the opposite, turning a movie into a six-episode TV series. It was . . . not great.

The fact that they are, presumably, paying “spiritual mediums” to ply their bullshit takes this beyond the realm of “silly waste of time” to “actively harmful waste of time,” IMO.

The unmitigated nerve of some people, not being attractive to you, specifically. I guess she’ll just have to comfort herself with her international success and her great fortune.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Of course.

Kunis is vastly overestimating the extent to which anyone actually watched the last seasons of 70s Show. No one remembers that Josh Meyers was brought on to replace Grace and Kutcher, Cousin Oliver-stylee, much less that Jackie dated Fez.

If I had one million dollars, I would buy everyone in this thread a copy of Understanding Comics.

As someone that grew up reading comics in the 80s, I’d argue that genericizing graphic novel does a massive disservice to actual graphic novels. Putting God Loves, Man Kills or The Killing Joke in the same category as, say, Rob Liefeld’s X-Force or Marvel’s STAR-branded Muppet Babies comics is downright criminal.
