Does the performance package some with stickier than normal tires as well? Upgrading the dampers and brakes is good, but seems futile if tires are still bad.

None of that food looks worse than the Ryanair cheeseburger

Wow, hadn’t seen it from these angles. Didn’t realize how big of a wreck it was.
Glad no one was hurt. Kind of surprised too considering how inexpensive the cars are. Kudos to the builder.

I love the driver’s reaction.

So your argument is still just that ... it’s a Ford?
I bet there will be some stuff that is easier on one vs the other, but I don’t think that blanket statement holds.

For example the front sway bar on the ST requires a front subframe drop:

This is what my car friends refer to them as.

I have my doubts about the RS’s layout being straightforward, but lets hope it is! Maybe I can get one as a DD in 5 years, haha.

I can concede cheaper to own, but easier to work on?

Tightly packaged transverse engine AWD cars aren’t know for their space or ease. Think Evo vs. STi. Working on Subaru’s has definitely spoiled me for most other cars.

It makes sense when you’re trying to convey just how big the area of you’re dealing with. It gives people a frame of reference.

I always wonder how many teams’ issue could be solved by having the car complete say... a week in advance and doing some testing.
They’re still cheap cars as the base so issues are bound to arise, but if the car can’t make it more than 5 laps that’s a prep issue in my mind.

This. So very this.

Damn Aussies. I knew they couldn’t be trusted.

I hear they have a good rugby team though. Black something or other.

Yeah, and I drive maybe 2 or 3 times a week in my ‘DD’ car, so can probably put up with a bit worse dynamics for those times. I’m already considering a used Ridgeline, but the new ones look a fair bit better, imo.

This is the true speed secret: Stop worry about your onboard cameras.
