Ooh, new picture, old job, or old job, new picture?

I’m not a fan of pearls anyway, but I think a suit and pearls is dull and staid. A good white or yellow metal necklace is a bit less boring.

I’d say go for it if you aren’t wearing them over clothes, like a turtleneck collar or similar; that look always screams “middle aged” to me. Pearls are meant to be showcased by skin (but obviously not some kind of deep neck for a business photo!) A nice scoop neck, then your throat accentuated by a strand, could be…

So, for all of you fine people that are happily in a relationship...where did you meet the other person? Everything in my life is going pretty well. My job is fucking awesome, I’m finally making some decent money and am able to pay down some debt and set aside some savings, and I have a very small but very tight-knit…

It’s a classic. I second Mrs.Batman’s suggestion of a dry run to decide. Personally I like choker length for headshots because it keeps the focus near your face but it might not be what looks best on you.

I personally love pearls but agree that it matters how they’re styled and what kind they are. I would err on the smaller size for the strand and not do your hair too severe to balance it out. But I say go for it if you love them.

I love pearls. I do. But it depends on the style of the necklace, your outfit, your age. They can be timeless, it’s true. But as you can tell from the comments, it can go both ways.

Classic. You will never look back and be embarrassed by something too trendy.

I’m not dead! But I couldn’t log in for what seems like months. Unfortunately baby is two and a half now and becoming a more recognizable little person, so probably no more photos. Earlier today she told me “no mommy. Get away from me. Go upstairs and go to sleep”. So that’s fun.
