Lord of the Rings nails! And a tension headache  :/

I finished the sweater I started working on in the spring, then had to take a break because of the heat. It’s not done done, I still have to weave in all the ends, but it’s so goofy, I love it!

Yes! I can picture all those illustrations perfectly...For me the series that stands out is the progress of breast development featuring the girl with the towel on her head. I spent lots of time trying to determine which stage I was in by comparison.

I had this book back in the day and the illustration of one of the girls inserting a tampon is forever seared into my brain. I threw it in the back of my closet from time to time as a kid bc I was embarrassed by it, but damn, that book was super useful.

I was unaware of this book (granted, I was a high school freshman when it came out), but a big player in my personal sex ed was Deal With It from gurl.com. It was pretty raw when it came to discussions on sex, and as someone who went to Catholic school (i.e. we were shown a sketch of Fallopian tubes once per year, and

I’ve said it many times but, I’ll say it again. I freaking love this book, it was literally the most helpful thing for a prepubescent me. As an awkward person, i hated going to my mom with questions, and this really helped me feel ok with the changes i was going through.

The partners at my firm argued for an injunction to prevent our state’s defunding of Planned Parenthood the other day.  I’m so fucking in awe.

I’ve been a regular Jez reader since 2008, but I’ve never commented before. I’m not sure why exactly I’ve decided to finally post, but I guess I’m looking for advice/reassurance. I finally had the courage to quit my job. I used to be a teacher, and after 7 loooong years, I couldn’t take it and quit. I don’t want to

McCain dies but thousands will live because of that thumbs-down. For that alone, may he RIP.

How have you all lost weight? Like, what really worked? I’m in my early 30s and I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been. I have a history of disordered eating and while I’ve definitely lost weight before, I’ve never lost weight in a healthy way. Do not want to go down that road again. Or slip back into it by accident, which

It’s definitely a beautiful place to go, especially in the summer, and there’s nowhere else quite like it. It’s bleak yet visually stunning, animals just roam freely wandering up to you including livestock, you’re free to wander as you like pretty much, no fee to get in, and filled with history. That church in the

Well the thing about Dartmoor is that all the animals are let to roam free in each area (there are cattle grids every so often but that’s it).

Yay! I absolutely love the beach! 🌊

Went walking on Dartmoor with the dog for the day.

I’m usually just a lurker, and apologies for the tl;dr, but having this space to feel comfortable enough to post this, even if no one reads it, feels amazing.

Ok, here goes: I’m pregnant, I really didn’t want to be, but after a two-week wait to get into Planned Parenthood, something hit me and I thought it was all

Craft Thread!

I haven’t had many friends since moving across the country, but I finally think I may have made a friend. I’ve only had one friend date so far. It is going well, but it’s been so long since I’ve made a friend that I am out of practice. Please give this socially awkward nerd your tips! How do you act early in a

I’m going to look at a few spots in South America where I’m interested in retiring to. Because I have to pick a location and then rent an apartment!

İt is ambitious but as a solo traveler it's totally up to you whether you keep it or adapt. I'll throw some day trips from İstanbul for sure
