If a car is collecting data on me to be sold to other companies....I don’t want it.

I hate all the new driver assist stuff in the newer cars. None of them work well enough to use. The only one I do like on like highway runs is the adaptive cruise control.
As a Test driver, I find the cars with the least amount of sensors and things were the most reliable
For one, my house’s electrical system is 65 years old and would need to be completely redone to install an electrical charger. For two, it wouldn’t necessarily be any cheaper to operate (I considered buying a Mazda CX-90 PHEV, and calculated that for the cost of electricity combined with the EV only range and battery…
For me, I just don’t see the value proposition at this point in time. My current commute is <25 miles round trip, my commuter car gets up to 40 mpg highway, and it has very low maintenance costs. An EV wouldn’t actually be “cheaper to own” once I factored in the higher cost to buy, higher property taxes, higher…
I bet the heads of the IOC have air conditioned transport and luxurious accommodations close to the venues. The Olympics suck and it’s definitely not because of the athletes.
$500 today wont cover an alternator replacement at a shop for most anything built in the last 15 years. Yes, I know a lot of us here can handle this repair but many cannot. I just checked and an alternator at Autozone for my 2010 Camry is $375+ tax. Shop labor is an hour. $175/hour is not an uncommon shop rate here -…
It seems like most of the automakers have given up on the small affordable car which was supposed to be the entry point into their brands. They might not be hugely profitable - but they get the buyers back in the showroom 4-7 years down the line when they’re ready to upgrade.
Damnit. Another car I was actively ignoring has been cut. If only they had had a Manual Transmission option, I could have dreamed about buying it.. tomorrow.. if I ever get some money.
Pretty much all new cars are too expensive these days, EVs more so. Most early EV adopters have got a ways to go on their current loans/leases so buying a new one is not happening for them. For a lot of people, EVs don’t make sense because they can’t charge them where they live and will never be able to. No doubt over…
It looks great. It really just comes down to brand reputation for quality and reliability for me.
I know people seem to like piling on Buick. But I think this looks pretty good. Granted its not exactly my style but I think these will do well.
Once the Scion xB went out of production, they all migrated over to the Kia Soul and haven’t looked back. Honestly, it’s easy to see why. They are easy to get in and out of, still relatively analog, have enough room to pick up the grandkids and their strollers, and can be afforded on a tight social security budget.
So, here is the thing. We do not know the details, correct? So if this accuser was seen as trying to black mail him or raise accusations over something that was not wrong wouldn’t that lead to them being in trouble?
Want to fix all this? Create a one page sheet that shows MSRP, dealer invoice price and customer price. Then include all fees and taxes added as a result of the dealer customer price.
I mean, it was an independent investigation performed by an outside lawyer that was hired by Red Bull. Of course, Red Bull have some control over who they selected, but I don’t think it can be read as they investigated themselves...
Even with the resolution, how much we continue to hear about this is probably inversely proportional to how interesting/competitive the F1 season will be.
Average person of that kind with a family:
Viewers are also generally not thrilled about Danica Patrick’s inclusion as a regular. I think she took a recent media position with F1 so it makes sense they’d include her, but man people are not happy about it.
