My frame of reference for lasers is that episode of SATC when Samantha gets a peel and has that bad reaction...oozing, red crusty skin. Has anyone here had one and is it that bad? What were your results/would you recommend etc.?

I had the same trouble, and my derm switched me to the cream formula from the gel. I found it to be less drying. I don't have the specific percentage of retinol, but he switched me down from the a higher version too.
