Just beat this game. It gets a 8.9/10 from me.

Yeah but I blame Ninja Theory for making the joke only to (possibly) cave in to that demand from Capcom.

DMC 2. and it was an ad for Diesel. Both playable characters had alternate skins with Diesel clothing.

My statement was more of a (strong) assumption. Knowing Capcom to be who they are I believe it has on disc DLC. I believe some of that DLC is alternate skins for Dante.

Like they don't already have a classic Dante skin on the disc already.

Yeah, I can agree with the whole "Occupy" allegory being dumb. I'm not really defending the story as much as I am pointing that the standard was set low by previous games and therefore people shouldn't expect something amazing.

Well if Capcom is to be believed (which sadly they aren't) they said this was a side story and a different interpretation on Dante & not a full reboot. So hopefully you're right and cool Dante is replaced. I'm a fan of DmC but lets be real here, Devil May Cry 1-4 Dante > DmC Dante.
