I need one to support my Mom and she's using an old Mac Mini using PowerPC. Was sad to see TeamViewer would not run. Was using LogMeIn.

The "old eggs" thing is a little bit of a myth. As long as they are more than a few days old, it won't matter. For ease of peeing, what does seem to work is ice bath after boiling, peeling technique (well-rolled egg peeled under running water), and my favorite, cooking in a pressure cooker.

I agree. Works perfectly.

Also: I keep them out but if I am not cooking for a few days, can put the glass in the refrigerator. Growth slows way down.

In my experience they taste the same. I don't grow them continuously though. I basically just double the use of the bunch, then I buy more. Obviously, this won't work forever.

This article explains it in simple terms and claims no Congressional action is needed to reverse this:

How about an ifttt action that triggers whenever you leave work and reminds you to call a friend and say hi. Another one for when you get home to remind you to look at upcoming meetups. That could lead to something other than gym or work.

I recommend the book Sweet Fire by Mary Toscano. From my Amazon review:

See the news? State of California is making it illegal for chefs to touch the food without gloves.

Sort of. But its primary action, as I understand it, is more about washing the little bastids away than it is about killing them. Handwashing is effective from water (a solvent) plus a detergent (which dissolves substances which resist water) plus abrasion.

True. It does have a tomato soup-like character (being oranger in color and with the dairy component). But still great on pasta.

A gigantic skillet. Because you won't use it often, you don't want to spend hundreds, so this is just the time you want cast iron. $35 for a 15-inch skillet!

The same company, Thermoworks, makes other units for under $50 which are just as accurate, nearly as fast.

Irony: Seek out veggies with greens; then immediately cut them off. You might wonder, "if the greens reduce freshness why do you want to buy vegetables that have been carrying greens around with them for days?"

Yes, it's mono. Stereo would require a lot more.

Official sources will say a few days refrigerated but really, these will last weeks as long as they don't sit out unrefrigerated before you pack them away.

Check out Marcella Hazan's amazing four-ingredient tomato sauce. 45 minutes. I am never without tomato sauce.

Really? I have never experienced that. All the dentists I have seen are polite professionals and only point out where I am missing spots.

Yes — and the opposite suggestion: short USB cords. I love my 4" cords.

I did this too. Mine is on the side of the kneespace under the desk, so it's out of site. Also have hooks there for headsets and headphones.
