The veep season 5 parallel is pretty remarkable. I thought it was kind of a fun coincidence when season 2 of HoC and season 3 of Veep (which both ended around the same time) both had the inept lead VP become president.

In the older trade paperback of 52, Keith Giffen frequently remarked on his utter hatred for her brother. Needless to say, Giffen took a huge amount of delight in changing the actual murder from a smaller sequence into a full on page of a crocodile man viciously disemboweling a teenager.

I kind of worry they can't top the legion of doom. The legion was so damn fun.

I have this crazy idea, so bare with me here, but maybe Universal should try releasing one monster movie people actually want to see before blundering ahead with this Dark Universe nonsense. Or, if they desperately need to put the cart before the horse, maybe start with a movie that at least looks memorable. Imagine

"Damn your eyes!" "Too late!"

Did you also know that Matt eventually came back and literally wrote every single sketch that went on the air? I always wondered how Studio 60 had it's hand on the pulse of America with it's insightful jabs at Christains being a little bit odd and hysterical Nicolas Cage impressions. It all made perfect sense when I

Now I'm really hoping for a Drawer-knob Josie cameo. It could be something simple and pointless, like two characters we've never met walk past a drawer and then Josie's CGI head briefly appears and screams. After that, the characters never acknowledge it having happened and then Josie is never referenced ever again.

I think all the tv series was shot in 4:3. I imagine the old flashbacks are just in widescreen to not cause distraction. Lynch wants us to briefly remember key episodes not get us thrown off by black bars suddenly showing up. But I highly highly doubt that Lynch would have ever filmed twin peaks in anything other than

It's definitely moving at it's own pace, but it's all so damn gripping and crazy. If you're a huge David Lynch fan, there's an amazing fascination with how every shot is carefully constructed.

It's incredible that Frank Silva got a brief showing. It's now all but certain they'll drag out more surreal archive footage in some kind of nightmare sequence before the season is finished.

I know "How I met your mother" isn't that well regarded anymore, but Maclachlan was hilarious as a recrruing character known as "The Captain".

Each episode always has a different feel cinematically. Black mirror has always been uneven. You have brilliant episodes like "Be Right Back" and then a clunker like that Waldo episode. Netflix's money helped give us "San Junipero" and for that episode alone it was worth moving to netflix. "Shut up and dance" felt

Vinyl was like being dragged out in the desert and being shot repeatedly in the legs and then forced to dig your own grave

I always hope for more Russ, but character-wise he wouldn't work on a long term basis. He'd be pretty willing to immediately sell anyone down the river in order to stay in the three comma club.

I really hate that defeatist mentality of "oh, all politicians lie. They're all the same" No! It's true that all politicians lie to some extent but some in particular are much much worse.

His first appearance was a real delight. His deadpan line delivery was brilliant.

But there are so many angles to report on! I for one await the profile article of the actual severed head prop. I just feel like that prop head has a great story just waiting to be told.

Shut up and let the washed up bearded man talk!

What was wrong with black mirror? They throw seemingly endless money at Charlie Brooker to realize his wonderful lunacy.

Poor Benedict Wong gained all that weight for nothing! What does he have to live for now? Being an increasingly popular character actor with several Marvel movies lined up? What kind of life is that for him?
