It's a good idea, but they don't yet exist and, as such, all the eBay listings are fake. http://gizmodo.com/5946673/dont-buy-cheap-iphone-5-cables-because-they-dont-exist-yet

I use a Casio G-Shock for sports and a Maurice Lacroix Chronographe Automatique for everything else. I'm sure that a suitable Omega or Rolex could be found for the former, but the idea of accidentally scraping a 4k watch over a rock or smashing it up against the side of a wall is not very appealing.

You should include a section on using NTFS junctions to move large directories off your SSD onto your HDD if you start to run out of space. WinDirStat is a great free tool to do this.

If the parchment paper curls upwards, I just turn it the other way around and let the weight of the things on top of it keep it down.

My dislike of these rules is that you're allowing employers to basically using the generosity of their customers (through tips) to reduce their wage bill. I'd prefer it if employers paid the federal minimum wage so staff didn't find that the first $42's worth of tips (in an 8 hour shift) were effectively lost.

I question the point of Growl though as barely any applications support it. In addition, any applications that do have a need for pop-up notifications have already implemented their own - so making Growl redundant.

The Samsung 830 SSDs are getting good reviews and Amazon are offering the 250GB one for £172.75 (approx $270) and 128GB one for £85.55 (approx $134). I'm thinking about getting one of those.

I tried it. It's very nice but, whilst I can live without push, it doesn't support fetching mail automatically every 15, 30 or 60 minutes. As such, you get no notification at all that you have any new email unless you periodically open the app.

I agree that a year to do the 4 to the 4S hardware changes would be too much credit - but not unreasonable for the entire end-to-end process. This would, of course, also include software, testing, prototypes, translations, accreditation and a whole host of other things.

If you have to reinstall Windows on your computer, don't bother with the hassle of downloading the drivers from the manufacturers website. Simply use Double Driver ([www.boozet.org]) to back up the non-Microsoft drivers onto a USB stick.

You mean those "trusted sources" that nearly always get it completely and utterly wrong? :)

The simple answer is because someone would have to build that infrastructure and it would have to be agreed, specified and interoperable with the millions of handsets, millions of base stations and hundreds of network operators already out there.

If it was a PR release then I don't see Tim Cook, Scott Forstall or Apple PR quoted.

I really hope you're joking - because if you think that something like that can be knocked up in "a couple of weeks" then you really don't have the slightest clue how handsets are designed and manufactured.

Why do we need SIM cards at all? Why can't we just get some universal password that represents our phone number and service account, then you can type that password into any phone to activate it?

Of course he was. Anyone who has done any kind of mobile handset development (which I have) can tell that it typically takes 18 months to 2 years from conception to launch. A new handset isn't something you knock up in the space of a couple of weeks.

To be honest, I'm not convinced that once you've factored in finding two lids, placing the tomatoes onto it, carefully placing over the other one and then washing up the two lids, drying them and putting them away - that you have actually saved that much time vs just throwing them onto a board and chopping them.

How apt, I've just come back from holiday.

Does 2do sync with Google Tasks? It promotes its sync functionality a fair bit on the website but seems to mention everything bar this rather popular way!

If you have to buy a processor then the easiest way is to look at the entire range by the chip manufacturer you want (Intel or AMD). As you go up the range, each one will have a slightly larger price until - bam! - the price will jump by some stupid amount.
