Maybe I'm just being pessimistic but normally when a cop decides you're doing something wrong, having some text on a bit of card isn't going to change his mind in the slightest.

Having seen the rather unpolished efforts on the Android phone front, I'm slightly concerned that an Android tablet has the potential to be equally unpolished.

@Unionhawk: Exactly what I do as Google Mail over Exchange ActiveSync doesn't work the way I expect it to (eg. deleting something doesn't delete it, but puts it in the archive - what?).

@2 replies: Does Google Sync still have the bug where it cannot handle tentative appointments and just deletes them?

To be fair, I'm running iOS 3.1.3 on a 3G and it too can be dog slow.

The problem with Windows Mobile and 3rd party UI's was that whilst in some respects they took the platform forward a couple of steps (eg. touch friendly buttons, better home screen) they also took many steps back (eg. missing core functionality, inconsistent UI, bugs a plenty).

@brodiemac: You'd need to do some VBA. I'll add it to my list of things to write at some point and submit to Lifehacker :)

The answer to this question has already been answered. I quote Rev Lovejoy in the Simpsons:

You think you have it bad?

I thought that later updates of OS X meant that you couldn't use it on an Atom processor? Or has someone worked out a fix?

They could always use iTelevision, although I accept it isn't quite so snappy.

At a guess I'd say it's because people already have a perfectly good HDTV and aren't keep to drop £900 on a new 3D one.

@Meh: Correct. This is because the video file itself is already compressed and so RAR cannot compress it any further.

I'm off to the USA on holiday soon and based on that web-site I shouldn't bother with a data tariff.

@Kelly42: Looks like it is US only as it's not available in the UK store.

I'd like a date/time/weather widget that doesn't take up half of the screen (looking at you HTC) and a calendar widget that doesn't either show too little (eg. only the next appointment) or too much (so that it takes over the entire screen).

@SquareWheel: Considering the majority of the applications listed were either free or 99c, one that retails at 3x that amount could be considered "expensive".

@lordargent: Technically, it's not British English but International English as it's the spelling used by everywhere in the world - but the USA and Canada.
