What about sour beers? That’s what I always want to drink in the summer time. A local brewery has a key lime gose that I fill my fridge with.

I used to really enjoy this show.. a bit cliche and silly in the same way that Carrie Diaries was, but also charming and with so many great character actors being their best selves.

I thought having kids would mean guilt of bringing little people into this crappy world (during Obama, we dared to hope). But it actually turns out that they are amazing, creative improvements on my husband and I. They may just be the people to be able to fix the world. But of course I'm biased.

I wouldn’t say “I told you so”, but I would also keep my response honest and just keep it at “I hope you get well soon.”

that forcing a virus to be an individual responsibility instead of a community one”

You’re most likely mad at yourself for denying yourself the pleasures that someone else enjoyed.

The scolds are often simply reacting to the same vacuum of information by clinging to a type of superstition: As long as I forcefully denounce the risk-takers then I myself will be made safe.

I’ve been hyper-careful during this whole time, and also find myself inclined to judge those who aren’t, but ultimately I came to figure out that it just is not worth my time, energy, or the cost on my mental health to hold onto or cultivate anger or negative feelings against people. Me being mad at them won’t change

If the writers have any sense, they’ll open with them all at Samantha’s funeral, after she succumbs to another bout with cancer.

Not even my first job, but an internship at a small but respected industry magazine owned by Conde Nast (I think they owned much more in the early 2000s than they do now).

You know, in hindsight, maybe a system whereby the top judges in the country are selected by whichever politician currently sits in the White House and then serve until death was not the best system.

This is not to say that it’s not the new “exhaustion” BS we hear from celebs, BUT Lyme manifests itself *very* differently in different people. Some manage it quite easily as a chronic condition and some are absolutely decimated by it.

It’s disappointing that the veterans, the ones who have first-hand experience with the United States’ campaign of endless war, have so far met this news with radio silence.

This is his long con, he’s so upset with SNL that he’s making reality stranger than fiction to put them out of business.

This blog post edits out Buttigieg’s actual response to Warren. Before Klobuchar jumps. It’s in the video, but is basically, “If you can’t say no to a donor, then you have no business running for office in the first place. But also senator, your campaign right now, as we speak, is funded in part by money you

As I noted, the hypocritical tag doesn’t come from the text of the article. Buttigieg pointed out that Warren had gifted herself funds from her senate fundraising cache, which she collected prior to her Come to Jesus small donor pledge. That is, she has not only collected from large donors in the past--she’s used that

I think that interchange is going to be what people remember from Warren last night, and that because of that, she’s probably going to be seen as having at best a kind of so-so night. Buttigieg’s “I’m the only one who isn’t a millionaire/billionaire” line is a pretty good one, but the line that hurt Warren in that
