Personally, I got tired of his schtick years ago. He was amusing at first, but now I just see him as a smug asshole.

I like watching Bourdain’s shows because they hit that sweet spot of travel and food for me. My husband cannot abide him in ANY fashion. He calls him arrogant, which is one of the worst thing you can be IMHO (in my husband’s opinion, lol).
ROFL - someday I will be brave/frustrated enough to use that.
Yes! Do you ever get the question, “So what are you reading? What’s it about?” UGH - leave me alone! I hate giving synopses of books. I usually just say, “It’s just a [insert genre here] book”

I’ll give it a shot - thanks!
Woohoo!! I’ll try it tomorrow morning. :)
Even steel-cut oats?
So we eat a LOT of Indian food at home and I’ve always been instructed to wash the basmati well in water until it runs clear. Do you do this before you fry it in the ghee? Do you just fry it straight? Thanks!
Yes, thank you. This GIF is really the answer.
When I was stationed in Okinawa (lo, these many moons ago), I was absolutely FASCINATED that 1) coffee came iced, IN A CAN!!! and 2) it was available in a vending machine. Mind=blow.
Good information! I appreciate it.
