Thank you very much. What a dear she was and a fine mother above all. I felt terrible for our daughter, she bearing a strong resemblance to her mother, for the loss of that singular maternal influence and care; it's nothing which I could replicate. Best wishes.

Yep.  I walked out of there unsure about Ally’s motivations for anything, which makes it a failure.

Yeah. The movie felt like “Toxic Masculinity: The Movie”

YES!! Bradley, your Oscar lust is showing.

I think there’s a strong hint of misogyny in the criticism about Mary’s place in Freddie’s life. And bisexual erasure. So much of the criticism needs its own analysis on what’s going.

I thought Mercury was bisexual, but it was Mary that couldn’t really ever fully accept it.

Freddie Mercury met Mary Austin in 1969 and they dated and were friends for 22 years until his death in 1991 and he left a significant chunk of his estate to her. He met Jim Hutton in the 1980s, didn’t get along at the start, then they dated for his last seven years. Hutton and Mercury did not spend 20 years together

From what I’ve read, Freddie took Princess Diana to ONE gay bar on ONE night. While it would have been fun to have that little bit in the movie, it doesn’t appear it happened more than once while you make it sound like this was more. Personally, I think the movie was a fine run-of-the-mill rock biography. Yes, his

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend remains the definitive anti-romcom romcom and always will be.

Yes! The best.

The thing I learned the most from all of this publicity is that Queen had to be Marx Brothers fans. I never really knew the album names, it was more singles for me. But A Day at the Races and Night at the Opera cannot be coincidental. Just makes me like them more.

Yeahh I’m not super pumped on the whole “Let’s continually shade this rising POC actor who by all accounts seems like a really great guy for this white director’s scummery (who was fired from the project and was known to have clashed with said actor)“ angle that BuzzFeed and Jez are riding.

I’m still not super angry at Malek taking a job, particularly something as ‘once in a lifetime’ as this, and which has been a really successful role for him - I’m angry at the studios/companies/people that keep picking Singer as a director. While some actors have a lot of choice in their roles, most people on a movie

That one movie with her and Will Ferrell (of all people) is actually a favorite of mine, but I can never remember the name of it. It’s pretty great.

On the topic of Devon Sawa, who was also my girlhood crush, he has a Twitter account and is seemingly pretty friendly and engaged with his followers/fans.

Are you watching The Deuce? I’m really enjoying her in that.

SherryBaby legitimately was hard for me to watch because she was so good in it. She portrayed someone in near constant emotional pain that it was amazing and difficult to watch.

Omg yes. The Kindergarten Teacher was AMAZING. She blew me away.

Secretary is an amazing film, the kind that the more you think about it, you cannot figure out how it got made.

Hi not related but seeing as a lot of America is minus temp digits and it’s now snowing across the UK. Please remember the homeless. Gloves, scarfs. Socks, a coat you no longer wear. It’s cold out there guys. Imagine being on the streets with no shelter.
