OOOOOOOOOOO that made my head tingle.
This one is still one of my favorites! <3
Exactly! Religion, unlike other protected classes, is a choice. When exercising one’s “religious liberty” would mean infringing on another person’s liberties, then the religious person should be self-limiting. Not willing to sell a wedding cake with all of the same, standard features, regardless of whether it’s for a…

Paper Moon is a fabulous film. Don’t deny yourself that pleasure. Also, Madeline Kahn is sensational in it (of course).
Never, ever, throughout the #MeToo movement, did I expect the conversation to pivot to the old white guys being the ones making sweeping generalizations of all men being rapey.
Had this conversation with my folks last weekend.
As a straight, white male, I recognize the privilege that I was born into. I’ve never pulled a “#notallmen” out of my pocket on women of Splinter or Jezebel because that’s not constructive, and it’s not how to be the best ally I can be. And, frankly, I’m sure I’ve engaged in “locker room talk” in my younger days that…
I see the “no squalor of filth” aesthetic of the show similarly to how I see it in Kimmy Schmidt. It’s an aesthetic choice. It’s not my preference. Just because he didn’t directly blacklist them from comedy
When the dominos begin to fall, and the punishments are meted out, there is only one that will suit Ivanka.

Sounds plausible - particularly for la LuPone. Might also explain why anytime she’s been asked about the film, she says she’s never seen it.
Zemeckis did a great job with a lot of the camera work. The entire movie was an homage to Alfred Hitchcock. In fact in the one scene where the TV comes on by itself it’s playing the movie Charade. Charade was considered the best movie Alfred Hitchcock never made.
Cooper scared the hell out of me. Stupid dog.
