This is true. It helps get the discussion of child sexual abuse out in the open so that those who have suffered can feel more comfortable with their experiences.

I will never understand a person who is willing to ignore the accusations of their child in order to "defend" the innocence of their spouse.

A lot of times the spouse can go into deep, deep states of denial with these sorts of events, where they are unconsciously blinding themselves to behavior even as it's happening.
