Ahh, I understand.

Hey! Me too!

Gross.

Yeah, because apparently all virgins are idiots?!?!

It was always my understanding that you have your first pelvic exam after you've become sexually active or by the time you're 20, whichever comes first.

Ugh. THIS.

There is still this weird idea that a woman (or man for that matter) who decides to save themselves for marriage/commitment is a prude or backwards-thinking. I just can't see that connection. Some feminists talk about how they refuse to be defined by their sexuality, but then go forward and define others by theirs

I think that's great. Isn't the whole point that we can each own ourselves, our experiences, without judgment and shame from others? I just think, my not waiting until marriage has no affect on anyone else besides me, just like your waiting until marriage affects no one but you. And if you're comfortable with your

Nah. It just means you made a personal choice for your own body, just like I made a personal choice for my own body.

Exactly.

And my response would be "what flavor?"

From my point of view, the role of feminism in sex is the ability to own your sexuality, without shame or anxiety or the need to explain oneself. By remaining a virgin because you do not feel ready to engage in sex, you are doing just that: taking ownership of your own sexuality. I say brava.

THANK YOU.

Yup. I was diagnosed last year, and it took me having about 20 seizures before I/my husband/the doctors realized what they were, mainly because I was fairly functional during them; I just couldn't remember what I was doing or saying afterwards.

Very true. I have epilepsy, and get complex partial seizures, and it does not look anything like a "classic" seizure. I have actually been able to walk down the street, having a seizure. They are so varied.

Excellent point.

EXACTLY. They tend to omit those individuals who are better known for television work rather than film; the Emmys covered Cory Monteith very well. I agree that Harold Ramis could have had a larger piece, but I thought the little salute from Bill Murray was nice as well.

I freaking love Singles. My husband is 9 years older than me, so this movie hits right in our awkward point of his "coming of age" time and my "being a kid and having no idea these movies even existed" time. His introducing this movie to me was an excellent move on his behalf.

Totally. Cuz we all know that rape is simply a way for unattractive men to have sex with attractive women.

I...I have no words.
