That’s because the CT was literally a re-skinned Prius with a ton of extra weight and a nifty little mouse-style interface for the console controls. While the Haptics of the mouse control was pretty slick, it wasn’t worth 2x the price for the same car.

Mr. Allan’s emergency kit will quickly become the property of someone who remembered to pack a firearm when things get desperate enough.

How old were you when you entered college? There is an age cut-off where your parents’ income is no longer considered in the loan process so I suspect this is where we differ. I intentionally spent some time at a community college before going to a 4 year college to get around this. Getting married is another way... I

I think we’re talking apples to oranges with community college here but I’ll bite...

You say overpaid, I say their salary is commensurate with the financial importance of their position to the school.

Why? This job is already filled. You can do all the hand-holding in the world and you still would have this problem. This is my point entirely...

So you’d be an advocate for campus-sponsored education on federal/state/local benefits that are available? I’d get behind an idea like that 100%... the problem is, it already exists. Students tune it out or ignore the posters that are literally ALL OVER CAMPUS. This is a total sink-or-swim life skill that people need

Are you rationalizing this as an excuse or just stating a sad fact? Their rights do not include someone holding their hand and educating them on these rights. Being self-reliant is a life skill and frankly, it is not difficult to figure this stuff out.

What do coaches do to earn that wage? They coach a sport that brings a large source of income into the school. If the coaches salary bothers you and you’d rather pay higher tuition, go to a private college that isn’t involved in the NCAA.

They aren’t disqualified... they’re unqualified unless they work half-time. How is that difficult to understand?

Given the aero advantage, a skinned F1 car being faster than an actual F1 car doesn’t shock me.

As a white male in my 20's, I qualified for enough grant/loan money in college (2007-2011) to live alone in a decent single-bedroom apartment a block from campus, pay all my utilities, eat healthy/fresh food, go out with friends regularly, burn a tank of gas visiting family on weekends, and buy a damn Ducati.

The line is drawn where your insurance company stops coverage. This generally is defined as a contest of speed which means that you’re being timed.

And the thicker tooth profile that you can pull off with a straight-cut set:

Ah yes, that makes sense - H-pattern boxes are much less common in North America. Just about any rule book that allows for a dog-box here will also allow for a sequential so most people skip right past the H-pattern option.

Maybe this will explain what I mean better? 1st and 6th gear clusters will likely illustrate it best:

Maybe you misunderstand - given two identical gear ratios, helical gears cannot have the same mass that straight cut gears allow. I weighed the individual components of my Hewland gear-set when I installed it in the Subaru 6MT case (the case remains unmodified). Hewland removes as much weight as possible from the

The risk of a moneyshift is much higher in a dog-box as the mechanical interaction of the dogs doesn’t give the driver time to clutch before the mechanical over-rev. Plenty of YouTube videos will illustrate how much a fun a 3-2 misshift @ redline can be in a drag car.

Size-for-size, yes - but straight-cut geometry allows for more mass to be added to the gear teeth.

The reason this occurs faster in a dog-box is that there is no waiting time to synchronize shaft speed, it is instant.
