So, I just paid $90 for a three month supply of the Nuva Ring through my insurance (they wouldn't dispense one at a time, only in a three pack). Any chance I can get this reimbursed? Or is this a going forward basis only?

Welcome back to Behind Closed Ovens, where we take a look at the best and strangest stories from inside the food…
Two people you curiously never see in the same place at the same time:
Lest you forget we live in an era where there are such things as ‘Instagram stars,’ I’m here to make Monday worse…
The best cat motherhood story I have concerns a stray who adopted my family growing up. Her name was Ginger, and she took to us immediately. When she had her litter, she refused to use the food and box we put next to where she birthed. Instead, she found the nearest human and carried the kittens to curl up together so…
We rescued two newborns kittens whose mother died during birth after being shot. I was referred to a lady that had a ‘rescue’ in her home that had a lactating queen who just weaned kittens. We took the kittens to the mama and she took to them right away. The condition of the ‘rescue’ was just... a mess and we ended up…
But when have facts ever shut the anti-vaxxers up?
Can it be double dough AND stuffed crust?? WHERE IS THIS GRAND MONSTROSITY!?
When I was in 5th grade I changed schools. My new school was way on the other side of town and outside of the lily white suburb where my previous school had been located.
So my mom died when I was 6 from cancer. At my kindergarten “graduation” I was getting a special citizenship award and was really excited about it. The evening of the ceremony, I remeber my mom laying on the couch obviously in a ton of pain. I, being 6, was oblivious and demanded she get ready for my graduation. She…
My mom is awesome. She moved to Ohio from Puerto Rico with her husband and three-year-old daughter to get her Ph.D. She was away from everyone she knew, and didn’t really know English. She worked full time on top of school, and raised two daughters (second daughter born two years after arriving to Ohio), and put up…
My mom works in an inner city middle school as a teachers assistant. Basically it keeps her busy and she loves the kids she works with, which are the behavior kids. She has basically become a second mother to a lot of them and has some truly heartbreaking stories. One of the best was a kid whose mother had just died…
I actually was standing in my closet the other night thinking
The weirdest (funniest) part about the impaling was that I said something along the lines of, "Oh my god, no wonder you're upset! That must have been so awful to impale a living creature." My mom answered, "No, I'm upset about the chicken," then in growling hiss, "I would stab that skunk again in a heartbeat!"
Too much water poured too fast down the gullet.
When my daughters were 14 and 3 were going somewhere in the car and the younger one was picking her nose well the older one offered her a dollar to eat it. All 3 of us proceeded to get in this debate/conversation about eating boogers and how the older one did not have a dollar to give to the younger for some reason in…
My mother grew up in the Bronx, but after I left home she and my (now deceased) stepfather decided to buy some acreage outside of New Paltz. She also decided she wanted to raise animals. Did I mention she was from the Bronx?
"Who let out the dogs." — My mother, referring to the Baha Men song Who Let The Dogs Out.
What do you get your mom if she’s an emotionally-stunted, immature, self-centered, image-obsessed person who sent you to a therapist and tried to convince you that you had "issues" when it was really her all along and who makes fun of the gifts you buy her because she’s so emotionally messed up that she has an…
