O typo, my typo!

Welcome! This is an open thread, so feel free to post away to your heart's content!

Why the Graphophone? Because it will fucking slay you with sound, that's why!

Oh honey, I'm so sorry for your loss. I truly believe that there's no love like the love we have for our childhood pets; my heart hurt reading this because it reminded me so strongly of my own dog who passed in 2010. Muriel sounds like an absolutely lovely dog, and any dog you rescue will be so very, very loved.

Truth! I did exactly the same thing, so I'll second your tip o' the hat to RoverOnOver (how could anyone with "Rover" in their username be a bad dog owner? It's not possible!)

Winning.....the break up? Truly he is winning at nothing, because seriously, fuck that guy.

Especially after the lawyers go for the full court press.

No way! Congratulations to them both!

We're in different departments, but fairly equals-peaquels when it comes to the hierarchy. Thanks for sharing! I'm heartened to know that it is at least possible. Knowing my luck, though, he'll probably start dropping "my new girlfriend and I" into casual conversation any day now... :)

I need to print this one out, pollyannacowgirl. I'm no stranger to pain, humiliation and regret: why court it? I wish I didn't have all these feels, though. Thanks for the solid advice.

Aw, congratulations to you both!!!

Get it, idledandy! I like your style. We work in different departments, but now that you mention it, it does put a little kick in my step when I know we'll be crossing paths. And if ever there was a reason to get some new cute work outfits...

Ugh, just ugh all around. Nothing but hugs and empathy from me, leslieanne. I hope your crush comes to his senses soon and realizes what's what.

You say pessimism, I say thanks for the real talk, Pink.Elephants. Your story brought back all those punched-in-the-gut feelings of seeing an ex; we work in different departments, but on the same floor, so your warning has been taken very much to heart. I'm so sorry about that jerkface who hurt you—I hope your

Erhmagherd, Jim and Pam! It could totally happen, right? Thanks for the giggle—I'm already pre-emptively dreading the awk-ward, but I'm still looking forward to what Monday might bring!

I like your questionnaire, lady. In fact, I think you kinda led me to an epiphany. Given that he's one of only a few dudes in my office, coupled with a looong, lonely dry spell on my part, I'm now wondering: do I just like him because he's...there? You gave me a lot to think about, thanks!

Totally threadjacking catsforever's post (apple crumble is the shit, no worries on that front) to say hello, hello, hello Jan74! I feel like I haven't seen you 'round these parts in forever; I hope you're well.

I like the way you think, VanwithaG. It's also nice to have some(one)thing to look forward to when you're putting in the hours on a Saturday, that's for sure. I must work on my compartmentalization skills! ;)

MOCENA WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME I CAN'T EVEN. I love your how-we-met story; I shall take it as the best kind of cautionary tale!
