Yeah, I know. I think it's great as-is for what they were going for. There was a bigger hole for what they made than what we all dream they would've made. It may have gotten lost in the sea of competition if it were basically a 7/8 370z. They made something unique and because of that it was easy to succeed, even if

Also, more power doesn't equal a weight penalty when stopping and turning.

Well, we all are allowed to have our opinions, but it's just what I observed when I drove both in the same week. You're right - the 2.0t is only about 500lbs heavier - it's the V6 that is more like 700 (I remembered wrong). But pretending that 500lbs isn't a HUGE difference is silly when you're talking 2775 to

Not if you've driven both. a foot (or more) longer, 750 more lbs heavier, etc. It's a totally different type of drive. Just because it's close in price/door count/seat count? Hardly.

Agree with your statement - If a great track car is destroyed on a track, than it was not a waste of a great car. It died doing what it loved, lol!

To this day, my all time favorite FPS game. Came out my freshman year in college, and we played online MP for about 10-20 hours a week minimum for the next two years. My roommate was ranked #54th in the WORLD, so playing with him brought me up to #247th for a while, which was awesome.

A FR-S convertible would honestly be a bad idea. The FR-S is a great alternative to the MX-5 because it's more livable than the roadster and also is a coupe for the people who don't like drop-tops. It's great because it has no equal competitor in that way. All it's competition is sort of trying the same thing, but

For the four years of development that I was following this car, I was cautious about getting too excited for that same reason. I'm not enormous, but at 6'3" and 230, I'm way too big for an S2k or a MX5 (or first Gen boxsters for that matter), so I was paranoid that this car wasn't going to fit me/vice versa..

Yes. Needs to be above the brake lever, and although something more integrated/designed would be nicer looking, there isn't anything lighter and more simple than a small, plain clear plastic tub. They always look boring, but there's always aftermarket cover-ups - DEFINITELY not a deal breaker or anything.

I have a FRS and have a 30 mile commute each way. I adore my commute both times every day, and second this... However, the seats (while terrific for a cheap car) are awesome, they do lack lumbar enough that it may not be the best for that much seat time.

For me, it was the 2011 mustang. I've been more of a sports car guy than muscle car guy, and still am... However, I used to despise mustangs as crude pointless things, but after driving around, loafing around listening to that gorgeous V8, the whole car throbbing and then slamming through the gears a couple times?

You win. Juke R is absolutely on top of the "Pointless + Awesome" spectrum.

I grew up loving the Z-cars, especially the 90-95 Z32 era. The thing is, those died not because they were not good, but they got overpriced and heavy.

I learned in my rich uncle's 5 acre backyard. It was a white 1963 MGB GT, right hand drive and a manual! I was 12 years old. The grass helped to not stall it at low rpm take-off maneuvers, so that was actually good.

I think what makes a sports car is the design focus to be just that. Priorities must be handling, driver involvement, response/feedback, etc. A sports car is not a traditional car made "sporty" by a parts bin - this leaves out hot hatches, sports sedans, rally-car sti's and evos and muscle cars, even M3's regardless

FR-S.

I have done it before.

I really like the R8. It looks great, it sounds great, it's comfortable, etc. It's the closest sports/supercar that comes close to the Porsche 911's party piece of being a do-all car.

I have been obsessed with the idea of something different:

It's like my favorite dream car (911) and my actual car (GTi) banged and spawned this amazing thing... If this comes out, it will undo all the hatred I grew for the Cayenne and Panamera.
