I’m really curious to see how they’re going to actually bring three more vehicles to market in the next two years now that they’ve sold their backlog of $60K Model 3s and have to keep being cash flow positive on $45K-$50K Model 3 sales.

C4C had almost no effect on used car prices. It only involved ~690,000 cars out of a market that is ~40,000,000 used car sales per year. That’s right, less than 2% of used cars (that year) were involved.

Used car prices jumped due to the supply of cars as car sales crashed from 20+ million a year in 2006 to 10 million in 2009.

I’m actually more concerned about Tesla’s issue with sales and delivery. Seems like the customer experience is suffering with a lot of promises being broken in the delivery area. As much as people hate the dealership model, it has the advantage of keeping a lot of costs off the automakers’ books. 

Obligatory:

Faulty eyewitness testimony doesn’t have to be ambiguous or uncertain. A person can be certain they saw Person A when shots rang out and think that person is the suspect, when really it was Person B who was behind the eyewitness who was the actual shooter. Faulty doesn’t just mean unsure. It can also mean plain wrong.

You don’t use a lot of calories lying in bed?  “Healthy” doesn’t necessarily mean “on time and overweight”, either.  Could have been a month early and underweight but lacking any obvious birth defects or life-threatening conditions besides low weight and still be called “healthy”, I’m betting.

That’s the thing for me. She’s a B student. A 900 is underperforming for her grades. Then she retakes and, does 79th percentile, which is like, in line with a B student. That’s not exactly shocking to me.
