the Oldsmobile 5.7 diesel wasn't nearly as bad as you've heard

Considering it’s the highest of any industrialized nation (which is insane) it has plenty of room to go down and still be affordable.

“Who’s going to rain destruction down upon my enemies? Who’s going to rain destruction down upon my enemies? Yes you are, yes you are.”

Is the Franzia Chillable Red or White Zinfandel?

For a while I was referring to GM W-bodys as “single mom mobiles”. Basically every time I got asked, “My (sister, cousin, friend, baby mama) needs a cheep car, what should she get?” My response was, “Chevy Lumina. (later the Impala).

I’d suggest going with a fist gen Corvair (60-64). They’ve shown to be a bit more rust resilient than the second gen (65-69) models.

Seconded.

It depends on the jurisdiction, but in more than a few state/municipal owned snow plows aren’t considered “motor vehicles”. Therefore if you get in a crash with one, its your fault.

However, the rest of the lineup is boring as hell with mostly rebadged GM CUVs.

now we are all learning that “Minnesota Nice” was a fucking sham.

Day job used to be filling ATMs, can confirm.

Yeah, what church doctrine says and what the people in the pews actuality believe have never been in sync with each other.

There’s a great NPR article about a doctor who is making people “disabled” because they can’t get a job due to...lack of education.

Saw this elsewhere:

The pipeline is +90% complete. The only part not finished is the area being protested. When (not if) it is completed it’ll carry half the production of one of the top oil producing states in the country.

Right, because peaceful protestors throw molotov cocktails and burn vehicles.

They’ve locked the people out of the process completely, using a completely inappropriate (an totally illegitimate IMHO) tactic to avoid the kinds of mandatory consultation and environmental assessment that forced this same project to reroute over safety concerns for white people in Bismark.

The pipeline is 90+% complete. Even if DAPL goes bankrupt, another company will snach up the pipeline at fire sale prices and finish it.

Right, because it would be impossible to put a pressure sensor in the suction cup system that would set off the alarm.

I’m sure they’ll gladly take your money to replace the windshield. Then call the cops to collect a reward.

Or, they just send the ~$500 replacement bill to collections and have them harass the registered owner of the car.
