Hard disagree. Leveling from 1 to 100, 110, 120 has been a chore for a long time because of slogging through horrendously outdated content. Every time I reached 58 on a toon and had to choose between BC and Wrath - both stellar expansions for their time, but dated AF in 2020 - I died a little inside.

FWIW, there’s a ton of digital ink spilled out there about WOW having trouble retaining new players. A healthy MMO needs to have a constant flow of players working up the chain and doing pretty much anything - without that, you’re playing a single player game that wasn’t designed to be played that way.

The “choosen ONE” has always been a strange trope to go with in regards to player characters in mmo storytelling. An outright stupid one as well considering that the game’s main selling point is the fact that thousands of other people are playing the game at the same time.

I do agree that it feels like getting to Lv. 50 is too easy and quick right now, and that it should have been slowed down a fair bit.

It does a lot more than impact loading times..... , just alone the levels and material textures can be more diverse as the PS5 with its quicker SSD would be able to stream/switch in more assets.
