Cummins X15,

There is a typo in the article where it said to charge your electric car between 4-9 Pm.  That needs to be switched to not charging at those times.

1999 Oldsmobile 88

I put a lithium motorcycle battery in my car (1999 BMW M3).  It was a Shorai LiFEPO4 8 ah and then later a 12 ah battery.  It had plenty of starting power, but my alternator would charge it to 14.2v, which was near the max of 14.4v.  It's hard to balance the four cells inside the battery, and my mini balance board

They had a limited allotment of chassis they could do this and they got expemption stickers from the government. It used to be rather easy to do, then Obama limited the number and then Trump just plain looked the other way. Biden shut the practice down, which is good because tier 4 trucks emit a small fraction of the

2002 E39 M5. My brother went to pull out of the middle of the front yard at a house we were renovating. While backing up, he heard a scraping sound. After getting out and looking at the other side of the car, he discovered someone had placed a large boulder there with an excavator since he had gone inside.

I also work at a large assembly line and the materials folks will do anything and many options parallel to keep things moving. These types of things happen on a daily basis but usually the folks can solve 99% of the problems before there is a disruption. I can’t imagine what the F150 folks have at their disposal to

I get 38-42 mpg with my 2013 Mini S with the JCW tuning package driving to work with some fun.

The bench seat enhances the experience even more!

And I beat 6 people in PAX and 3 people in raw time that day in the Olds!. I was actually trying, instead of the first time we to0k the Olds. Unfortunately, I couldn’t win my class... somehow a Ford Fiesta with RE71r’s is faster than a 90's GM product.

Nope... I watched a Snap On and then a Craftsman half in to 3/4" converter break when trying to take off a DD15 head bolt.

Try torquing a head bolt to 600 ft lbs isn’t going to happen with a half inch drive.

That’s a Cummins X-15 engine in red in the top picture. Rated up to 605hp and 2050 ft-lb of torque for when you need to bring home the bacon.

From someone who works at making these engines, the 2010-ish engines had a tough time because there was a lot of brand new technology in them. Five years later, these engines have had those problems fixed and now have less problems than engines in the 90s or any time period . Plus, a 2018 engine gets 20+% better fuel

I drove a BRZ with a quarter inch of throw.... It was very fast, but not fun to shift

My E39 M5 had a nice long throw shifter, especially after we replaced all the shifter bushings.

Yes it is a problem... I have overheated a car on a zero degree day after driving a few miles of two foot snow in an oldsmobile 88.

I raise you a Mini plow with the JCW and GP upgrades.

Having watched a cold start on an engine with a clear valve cover, it can take 30+ seconds to even reach the overhead at 0F. It would be much worse at colder temps.

Oil breaks down and becomes ‘less good’ for an engine for lots of reasons. If your pistons run hot and oxidize the oil or your cross hatch on the bore is bad, you might not make it to that 20k mile mark without some damage.
