Good to know,thanks!
Good to know,thanks!
I miss the good old days of “It’s on SPEED, or it’s not on at all”.
First car I ever bought new was a Saturn SC1. 2002, last year before the Ion took over.
I’ve heard all sorts of stories about relatives and friends of an older generation losing their cars to the blizzard of ‘78. You’d be hard-pressed to get me to leave my car.
A couple years back, I was heading down to Daytona for the 500 with my wife, my best friend, my mother-in-law (MIL) and my 6 month old son. A friend of ours worked for an airline, and could get us free standby tickets for the airline he worked for.
Had I gotten stuck in Detroit for an extra day this weekend due to the snowpocalypse, I would have made it 815,577.
I was stuck in traffic in an absolute blizzard in RI for around 8 hours in that car. At one point I passed (at 2 mph) a Mustang fishtailing on summer tires repeatedly on flat ground. I got out of the car around every 30 minutes to knock the 2-3" of snow that was accumulating off. Never even lost traction.
When I bought my 2000 Firebird V6, it came with snow tires on the stock rims. That was my first experience with snows and made me a believer. Everywhere I went, all I ever heard was “gee, isn’t that thing terrible in snow?” Meanwhile I made it through every storm the Northeast could throw at me for years while I…
The 10 or 11 trucks with a decent engine put on a great show. Assuming Kyle Busch isn’t in the field and a half lap ahead of them. The remainder putter around causing caution after caution.
Big, long time NASCAR fan here. Going to throw in my two cents.
I’ve pretty much decided on a crew cab truck for my next car (just bought a trailer and I need the towing capacity). But for a long while I kept looking into the Ford Flex, and then the LWB Titanium. That race red must get some looks.
I keep staring at the Ford Transit Connect Wagon Titanium on their website and thinking to myself that if I had 2 more kids I’d be driving around in one of those in the bright Red color.
I saw one of these on the road today. These new small vans are absolutely hideous. The only one I can stand to look at is the Transit Connect. But I’m a bit old school. It’s needs to be called the Econoline.
And for those with less available cash...the Jeep Renegade Trailhawk.
I must be a member of the complete loser odometer club as well...
What are you talking about? We don’t use that fucking language around here!
I recently used Truecar to find a price on the Jeep Renegade Trailhawk my wife wanted for $700 under invoice. My previous best offer was at Invoice simply because it was a Trailhawk model. Inventory was scarce in the color and options my wife was looking for (2 within 150 miles), so I feel Truecar was the best option…
Hey that’s great. Now what about the money we need to actually fix all the bridges and roads we already have?
I’m really hoping that’s the case. My 04' Canyon Crew Cab with 236k isn’t going to last forever, and there’s no way in hell I’m spending close to $40k on a brand new truck.
I think you’ve hit the nail on the head with this one. Most of the year, the demand has been greater than the supply, and most dealers have been happy to upgrade those coming into the dealership to a full-size.
