Bad games happen, or sometimes there will be bad games other people feel are great, or great games that some would never touch with a ten foot pole because it isn't their bag. It's easy to set expectations high, especially for a series like this with a pedigree. If you take games for what they are, an experience, that…
Picture 5, the giant Kobun head. :D
@Anarkiwi: Hah, this is the first thing that came to mind when I viewed that ad
Eh, sponsorship is sponsorship, and I get the feeling the music is often the lesser commercial tie. And yet doesn't it strike anyone as crazy that games are now often more financially successful than the tie-in music? Or even possible movies generated based on the games themselves?
Wouldn't it be sweet to make a Sim Flea game like that old Sim Ant game? Live the life of a flea, the ever-enduring pest to all mammals. Your health is only replenished with blood cultivated through your needle-like nose.
@BlueCrazy: Now that I think of it, that is the sound. Which makes a bit more sense, more cash-registery. I would like to mod my wallet to do that...
@JimmyHaight: I'm sure that when the dead return to the world of the living, Captain Lou will have other priorities than donning the Mario hat. Priorities like BRAAAAAINS...
@GhostWhoWalks: Yes, exactly like that. Except this may cause more death than the plague, perhaps we need a roving crematorium. Oi, being morbid can be fun! :D
@Whooped.D.Dew: That's a fair argument, but honestly a lot of work did go into L4D2. It was far from a re-skin / expansion pack; the changes to the code most likely were prohibitive of such, and in terms of value it was still a lot of bang for the bucks, especially for the PC crowd that got free DLC. But, yeah, it is…
Time to round up the wagons to collect the emaciated, zombified, died-in-their-chairs masses who succumbed to Starcraftitis. They will have died doing what they enjoyed, and I can respect that, even if it meant soiling themselves just to complete a game. Gross. O_O
One of these days Poison will be a playable fighter, have puzzlingly ambiguous win quotes, and an ending that will bring shock and awe to those "out of the loop." Until that day, bring on the ultra disturbing tranny Poison cosplayers!
@dmcshinobi: is making a game: Holy ballzac, that's genius! Perhaps a little too well coded.
@Zerorush: Yep, class act. These are the moves that pay dividends in the long run, respecting the customer and gaining their respect. Activision was probably none too happy about the situation, so at least it was resolved amicably...
@hazelnut1112: Newell... awAAAAAAY!!!
@Krakenstein: Nope, Sonic sells burgers and fries: [www.sonicdrivein.com]
@cassiebearRAWR: Not making this up: there is a gas station near me that has a register that DOES JUST THAT. Unfortunately, it is not named Super Mario Gas. :(
@dmcshinobi: is making a game: There's an easy answer to your question about "easy": money. If you have been a fan of Contra, you've been around at times for some incredibly difficult games. Talk to the majority of gamers today and they are put off by punishing difficulty. I've heard people say they simply stop…
Hey, neat! It looks like they're taking the SF4 engine, throwing in team play (tandem ultras?!?), and adding rolls and some Tekken-ish button link combos. Plus Ryu gets his slide bounce kick thing from SF3! Siiiick...
@EnigmaticChemist: A greater Mario there will never be. ;_;
