New Nintendo system will always get a Mario Kart game. It's not destiny, its economics. Nintendo could do it with many games, but with Mario Kart on the box, there could be a pile of duke in there and people would still buy it, with system.
W00t, you're the first person I've heard actively be angry at Companion Cube. I would like Companion Cube to return with a new rival: Nemesis Cube, which constantly hunts the player and CC down with sharpened edges of PAIN. That would be neat.
@Bigbobo: The license yes, but they did not make the original Goldeneye game, thus don't own the rights to the scenario / design aspects. This is probably why Perfect Dark was able to make the leap to Xbox Live but GoldenEye 007 needs a full-on new game instead of just new textures.
@ClaudioIphigenia: :points at self:
Key unanswered questions: processing power, RAM, battery life. But especially battery life. How long can it display in 3D vs having the effects turned off?
@ClaudioIphigenia: You are correct. Kid Icarus, Kid Icarus 2, then BAMPF! —- 24 years.
@Mesren_Makai: Me too... is what I would say if there weren't millions of other people probably in the same position. ;_;
And another generation's pocketbooks are doomed. DOOOOOMED!
@Tyber_Zann: It isn't necessarily hard to remake a game, unless the original was made by a company now aligned with one of your competitors (ie: Rare with Microsoft). That is the primary reason for the workarounds like Daniel Craig-izing. The original probably will never be re-aired without some deft licensing…
@Promethean: Since the creation of the Wii Remote. ;)
@macshome: At this point, less than a day into seeing what is coming, it's hard to disagree with that.
@I'm leaving a: Sometimes its good to save your best cards for a later time when you really need to make a power play. ;)
@Killer Toilet: That will be one of the big 3DS tests when it is shown in a more public environment. Lighting levels, battery life, things you can't see on a demo room floor. As for the ladder sequence, some human lives don't last long enough to experience it. :o
@Toasticus: You can't change people's love to hate. Such is the world. Regardless, this is a good move for both Sony and Valve, and if you can't please everyone, you can at least get some money from their wallets. O_O
Biggest gaming coup of ALL TIME. Forget the Move and Kinect, this is what may put one console ahead of the other one. And now what of the Sony anti-Gabe fanboyism? Who saw this coming? Amazing stuff.
8, 14, and 17 made me laugh. But especially 8.
@Heratiki: Probably not even close to ready, you'll get your chance. Then once its out, the inevitable "Fatality-a-thon" videos will surface. Hooray for those.
Metal Gear 2 for the NES, because it was a hackjob, non-Kojima product that had nothing to do with the actual Metal Gear 2 made on the MSX. He is bitter about it too, and nobody puts Kojima in a corner!
