I work for an electrical contractor. The price for our steel conduit has been roughly doubled since earlier in summer, even though we buy all of our steel stateside (we buy all of it from a supplier, so only a few steps in the supply chain from production). I don’t know exactly how the economy works, but the result

American steel producers have raised prices to match those of imported steel.

The tariffs protect pricing for domestic steel manufacturers. So, by making the Chinese steel more expensive to purchase, it allows domestic manufacturers to raise their prices.

Of all the supercar companies, McLaren is my favorite. It’s a perfect blend of civility and craziness.

I thought that this was “the” magic roundabout.

McLaren claims it’ll manage 14 MPG city and 25 highway

I’ve always thought of McLarens as the boring supercar option because of the way they looked (and were named), but the 720S and especially this thing have got me in full hyperbolic lust mode.

I’d opt for no corrective lenses when viewing that thing.

Well the article seems to use a broken windscreen and a damaged tyre to emphasise its case. That, to me, says more about either their driving style, or the quality of the tyres than it does about the car, though.

A Ferrari-engined Italian car that gets passed back and forth between car reviewers has had some trouble?

did not “consider that Mr. Assange enjoys any type of privileges and immunities under the Vienna Convention,” reads the letter, citing a British diplomatic note.”

It’s a Ford Fiesta MK7 shape. Not a Prius

Anyone have the crash test ratings on that white hatchback? Does NOT look safe.

Ok, looking at the LR crash test I’m still not sure why you would think the Jimmy doesn’t deserve a lower rating. The LR bent maybe 6-8 inches inward, the Jimmy is well over a foot of intrusion.

Did you not see the cabin crushed inward and the collided-with pole hit the driver in the head at 1:38? This is the damage from a 20 mph crash (32 km/h).

You definitely got a laugh out of me for that one!

I’ve driven a London taxi, so I don’t even need to read the review to know that anything is better than what they used to be.... And the one I drove was the upmarket version.

A lot of these cars shown at Goodwood that are racing also probably race with the Historic Racing series. All of them are vintage race cars, they have been hit and repaired probably many times over.

I’m making diamonds over here

Is it bad if it doesn’t unclench?
