The really ingenious part is that Murray knew every other team would pick up on his device, so he put an empty aluminum box in the car with a few wires sticking out of it. Every other team focused on the box, and nobody noticed the hydraulic suspension line.

I’m a Ferrari fan — seeing that start really hurt. And as a Ferrari fan, I’ll also admit that there’s a very good reason why Lewis Hamilton is going to be a 5-time champion at the end of this season, and Sebastian Vettel is not. Vettel and Hamilton are in the two top cars in the series. They are possibly the two best

You can have it both ways. If someone runs into the back of a car and punctures the other cars tire, it still can be deemed a racing incident even if it’s obviously the fault of the car behind. It was Vettel’s fault. HE ran into Lewis with enough space on the track for both cars. It was most likely ruled a racing

The race was actually incredibly exciting from start until almost the finish. It was only the last few laps after Lewis passed Kimi that, well, you knew it was going to be Lewis.

I would say that it is a racing incident, but one that Vettel could have avoided and which ended costing him the race. In that sense it’s his fault.

Agreed. Vettels selfishness combines with Ferrari's almost always moronic strategy decisions to blow it every time. Merc owns them strategically.

I lay this loss squarely on Vettel and his inability to be a team mate. He should have been right in behind Kimi or to his outside to block Hamilton, instead he lunges up the inside on a late attempt to pass, and gets wrecked. Leaving his teammate to take on two Merc’s by himself.

It was a nailbiter throughout the race - Hamilton and Kimi were rarely more than 1-2 seconds apart.  Him having a 9-second lead at the end does not communicate how uncertain that result was up until lap 50 or so.

Bottas was well out of competition for the race win. This wasn’t a case of a predetermined strategy to sacrifice one car for the other. Mercedes saw an opportunity and seized it. It was a fair and very good play.

Mercedes pulled a superb strategy and teamwork. Hamilton was aggressive when he had to be and conservative when needed. Great job.

First thing I noticed too.. How can something relatively small be so weighty?

A 350hp Miata doesn’t sound fun? Please turn in your enthusiast card on your way out.

They one-up’d Dodge and instead of having an iron block they went for full lead block.

Like all Mustang horsepower, it’s crowdsourced.

They didn’t have a battery back-up?

It is something like the anti-Baywatch, with fully-clothed, square-jawed men and women stoically rescuing people from the dangerous, cold waters that surround Britain.

If i were buying a Tesla, i would opt for the All-Weather package, unlike these two cheapskates.
