At a mere 14 months old, he’s already buzzed to be driving a wagon. Jalop in the making.

  1. What is its mass in slugs?

It’s mostly for laughs. But how big are those F1 companies? (IRL they’re more than “guys in sheds,” but we’re not talking GM, either) The UK produces many genius engineers, that’s for sure.

This McLaren is a reminder to why all of us like cars. The technical ingenuniety apparent in every detail, the whole beauty of thing.. it’s stunning from every angle. A glorious reminder of why I study so hard; for I can hope that one day..

Trees are the reason behind all of this.

I hope he’s awarded $500, then $50,000.

I got an XB12. Twice the displacement, same power, but twice the torque. WAY more fun at lower speeds.

Wouldn’t happen. If anything, they’d wait till the runner finished, sit him down with a nice cup of tea, and tell him not to do it again.

So I’m guessing the security detail was waiting for the Prince’s reaction before deciding whether or not to club the shit out of this person.

I just feel sad hearing this.

“Do whatever you want, man” is an incredible response.

“Don’t quote me... I would imagine it immobilizes the output of the transmission so that the torque converter can spin faster without sending torque to the rear wheels.”

A transbrake puts the transmission in 1st and reverse gears at the same time, effectively locking the transmission in place so you don’t have to use your brakes. It builds tremendous amounts of heat very quickly and when used improperly can burn up a transmission.

I very much agree with this. The build quality of these from the factory wasn’t great, but once put together properly they are actually quite reliable. They just need the correct amount of maintenance, which is TONS by modern standard. But it is all easy.

My cousin Bruno had one of those (the Euro version, no fatty bumpers!) in British racing green, bought ultra-used and kept together with duct tape... but every time I saw him, he had a gorgeous girl ridin’ shotgun... he was 21 in those times, when I was 18 and I had just got my driving license... I remember that I was
