@Mr_Nowitt: And $529 is steep considering I can pick up and Archos 70 for $279 and have just as much, if not more, functionality. The only thing is the screen res. They should have gone IPS or SLCD, 512mb ram and priced it at $290-300.

@fallenturtle: I agree, I like alot of things about the Samsung Galaxy S phones; but will take an HTC phone without a second thought. But at that price I could be swayed into it as you probably would.

This goes against my "No Twitting" policy. I wish I could just text them the answer.

How will I ever be a able to type "LOL!!!111"????

I'd like to see someone try to the hold the iPad with just three fingers.

I thought we already discussed this Google...$250-300 price point. I mean at that price it's a no brainer; even if someone is contemplating used iPhones that price is perfect. Also no dock for HDMI out? And with some features missing, by D.A.S. $529 is steep. Not to mention Gingerbread Tablets will probably cost less

They would be stupid to try to block modders from making it into a Android Tablet. Honestly this is what would sell more NookColors than anything else. Problem is if they do try to block the rooting community, then when the 2011 dual core IPS/SuperAMOLED/Etc tablets drop; then these will look dated.

This is thanks to the TMO Froyo update for the MT3G. Which honestly for an older phone, works extremely well from what I can see.

Carriers can already be removed by manufacturers selling direct at a 50% over cost price. The idea of marketing necessary is a mad Men fantasy tale. It is a new era and we consumers are informed by blogs (Thanks Team Gizmodo) more so on new offerings specs, comparisons and reviews; than any carrier marketing campaign.

Won't that mean they could remotely lock your phone? No more second hand market? No more unlocks? No more Sim Card swapping? Sim cards is the reason I won't even defect to Verizon or Sprint.

I would like to see this as the Nexus2 successor, at least the display tech.

Now playing

@Subliminal Bukkake: After seeing the video above, and pricing I am looking into the Archos 70 as well. So I'd like to see a side by side comparison of the Galaxy Tab and Archos 70. I know the screen res is lower, but does it even matter on a 7"? The New Nook, if hackable, is looking pretty good as well.

I briefly messed around with the G2 at the TMO store, and that thing is blazingly fast on their upgraded network. That is all...

Why would I want it at that price, if I could get a 10.1" or 7" Archos cheaper? Or even wait till Q1 2011 and have a slew of options. Anyone know the price of the wifi only version yet?

Who else thinks they are going to use "extra" iPad parts? Worked for the new Apple TV right?

"Good news everyone! I've just invented the Walk-a-Lator"

Wait WHAT!?!?!?! Moving stairs? Oh what will those lab coats think up next? But I still suspect witchcraft if you ask me.

I find religion a confusing illusion...

If I knew it was that kind of party, I would have just brought the mashed potatoes.
