I agree and blame producers and the general public for not appreciating how important music is to film. We still have some good composers out there, but for the most part (particularly at marvel) iconic music seems like the last priority. It's hard to really do anything to help change the tide though, as much as I

It's kinda a shit point to say "Let's compare the most famous movie music ever to Marvel music" I don't disagree with the point that the music is crappy and bland, but saying your are less iconic than James Bond and 2 John Williams songs isn't that much of a shock.

If you like Shatner and music you need to check out his cover of the song "Common People", IIRC it topped British charts for a week or two.

I always loved that "Cereberus" joke in that episode. That whole episode is golden.

I literally just wrote this before seeing your comment. Damn.

"Homer Simpson's many jobs haven't made him a lot of Annoyed Grunt!"

They should just title this segment "We get traffic off other people's work"

I agree that was kind of the theme but it also is the only thing about the episode I disliked, because it feels like Trey and Matt keep coming up with more and more things that I can't like or be happy about. It's like they argue that you're an idiot if you are ever happy about something, and that is annoying.

I don't think they ever said she was just as bad. Saying 2 things are bad doesn't mean you think they are equally bad.

Exactly. If you can definitively say they misunderstood then it should be easy as hell to articulate how they did.

If you are talking about commentators then sure, but if you are talking about the reviewer then I disagree because while it's ok to have an opinion I dislike when AVClub people say opinions of content as matter-of-factly true. "They misunderstood safe spaces" etc.

Figuring out which was which wasn't hard once I asked myself "which one is the giant douche?". That said I do think it's interesting that IIRC the douche vs sandwhich haven't always been on the same party line as they are this time. I think Kerry was the douche years back.

Sorry, but in what way did South Park "misunderstand" safe spaces?

Yep. Cartman does a good job of summing up how a lot of people define the world. Where "funny women" = Amy Schumer, and "Women can be funny" = "Ghostbusters was hilarious."

    Annyong?

Hopefully the half woman doesn't mean the same thing as it does in that show.

And both these lines weren't in the reviewer's screener apparently. :/

Why not? It seems like something Krieger would be clueless enough to do. Besides it's probably like Tropic Thunder "blackface" rather than actual blackface.

I think this was a case of the reviewer incepting the idea of giving a bad Archer review to themselves. It's a bit of a coincidence that they were just talking about not giving a bad review a few days before giving a bad review. I'm guessing after telling their roommate what they told them, in their subconscious

Apparently 2 of the lure-ings didn't have their lines in the reviewer's screeners which might explain a little why they found it a little funny lacking (as the mouse/lana diary were funnier moments in the episode).
