Yep, it was better that he was saying the line about being crazy and then the audience still knew what song it was. One of the more subtle things this show has done.

    Me too.

That's always a possibility in a date though, isn't it?

If one gets shot are they all shot? Or can each split person be killed? Does 1 of the split people do errands while the rest sleep or hang out?

Sexy Redhead Ninja not only still looks like a Sexy Redhead Ninja, she can create MORE Sexy Redhead Ninjas at will.

Could have been her life sucking powers weren't on at full and stuck at "morally conflicted" power levels.

Honestly that line sounded more like a trailer line than a genuine character line.

Look at other grades for episodes of this show, watch the episodes with higher grades and tell me they are better. This show is flawed, but for what the show is, this episode was the show being the best it's ever been.

Most of the commenters agree on this. In fact most of us all seem to agree pretty well on most of the show. I don't know why some reviewers here seem to be on a different page than 90% of the show's audience.

Coulson does like "cool" thinks just about enough to want a laser arm.

I really liked it, it was quick and unexpected. And it saved us from arguing about the logistics of how the crystals would have a plot impact. Short and to the point.

Maybe the gun had magic auto targeting.

I agree. I don't think there's any risk of the Tahitii thing making him go crazy, but I do think they have enough wiggle room to "un-wipe" him if the plot demands it.

What happened to him on that boat made him so much more interesting?

Why does everybody in the MCU think the ocean is this big safe disposal place?

Speaking of hooks, has Coulson ever had a pirate fascination?

Or the fish will mutate and this is all a weird prequel to "The Little Mermaid"?

I for one loved these 2 episodes, and think they were pretty handily the best episodes in the series. Don't mark it down for not being a prestige drama, mark it up for being so dang good at being the fun show it set out to be.

It was Gordon's fault for not being a leaf on the wind.

He's got the right idea, but he probably should have put more than a refrigerator latch on the box.
