Has Scotty Kilmer actually put out a video about the CT? Watching his predictably absurd take would be HILARIOUS.

The last Saab 9-3 SportCombi. Always wanted a Saab, but the high mileage, general state of disrepair, and lack of parts always made me hesitate. IIRC you could get it with a 6 speed manual and a 2.8L turbo V6 with 280 HP. They were just so damn weird and I loved them.

*Maverick hybrid would be the perfect 2nd car if production capacity met demand and priced as it originally was. But Ford isn’t stupid, if they made too many it would kill their big expensive truck gravy train.

We already have the Kuga, it’s the Escape. And I’d like to think the Puma would succeed where the miserable Ecosport failed.

Yeah, I’m not surprised at the low sales. It’s not really meant to be a high volume vehicle. A quick search on Autotrader shows only 188 brand new for sale nationwide. Out of those, only 55 are hardtops. Lexus is probably selling almost every hardtop they have, and people probably really don’t like the look of the

2001 Volkswagen Passat GLE with the 30v V6. WAY too much luxury car for a broke college student that couldn’t afford to keep it maintained properly.

I’m gonna go with the Ferdinand Piech option nominate the Volkswagen Phaeton. Paved the way for Bentley to be what it is today.

And if you don’t mind the occasional catastrophic repair bill: lots of fast Audis.

My aunt had a GS300 that my uncle found for her to run around in when she first moved to California. Paint was burnt out, and had the infamous problem with that era of Lexus where they used ATF for the power steering system, and either her or the previous owner had mistakenly used power steering fluid, which ruins the

CTS-V wagon is a pretty good answer. You’d have to replace the shitty infotainment system with something more modern.

I have never driven a Rolls or Bentley, but I can’t imagine those are infinitely better ride than the Maybach.

Probably depends on your build. Long legs or long torso, narrow and skinny or broad-shouldered and built like a linebacker. I’m only 6', but I have very broad shoulders and a bulky build, so a lot of cars are too narrow for me, aside from either having too little headroom or too little leg room.

Agreed. We gotta break this down into categories, because NO car is perfect for everything. Everything is compromised in some way.

The nicest thing I can say about this is that whoever did the work REALLY took their time. The panel gaps are very consistent.

I was in Guadalajara a few weeks ago, and the number of small cars was refreshing, and there’s SO much choice. Of course we saw the usual suspects like the Fiesta, VW Polo, Kia Rio, etc. But a lot of nice Renault/Dacias, Peugeots, and even some Indian cars we were really impressed by. My favorite was the Toyota Avanza

I’m so glad my wife shares my taste in cars. We both prefer sedans because we prioritize handling. We’ll be getting a used Tahoe for when we need the space for family weekend trips, but we don’t like driving big lumbering vehicles on the daily.

Most of their non-truck offerings are globalized already anyway. If they wanted to bring back the Focus, the Escape, Maverick, and Bronco Sport already use that platform, so that’s most of the work done. We never got the current gen Fiesta, so they’d need to update the factories for that, and the Fusion/Mondeo stopped

Before Ford killed all their regular cars, this is basically what they were doing. The Focus, Fiesta, and Fusion were all the same globally. We still get SOME of that here. The Ford Kuga is the same as the Escape in the US, and since they share the same platform as the Bronco Sport, Maverick, and Focus, most of the

I didn’t expect mine to, but it did just that. I partially blame the pandemic price bubble, which hasn’t QUITE gone down for used cars. Bought a 2018 Mazda 6 Signature in 2020 for about $27k. I owe about $7k and the private party sale price on KBB is about $18k. I only have 57k miles on it, but that sounds a tad high

If I were GIFTED a Tesla, I’d sell it and buy a Hyundai.
