ha, yeah, there was no way a stock G in either flavor was as quick as a Z in a straight line or around a track. physics is a bitch.

“neutered” is a bit strong here. I had an ‘03 G35 Coupe 6MT and it was indeed the same engine and gearbox (and brakes) as the 350Z Track, and while there was a slight power reduction, IIRC it was due to different intake plumbing and a slightly different muffler.
I think the sedan was down even more power because of an…

Perhaps not, but at least 1 person thinks they were underrated:
What? I’m confused. I was a road warrior for years, and I used my personal car when I parked at the airport (when I didn’t take a cab or Uber), and AFAIK so did the majority of my co-workers (maybe the senior executives had company cars?)
Also, what does a car’s registration have to do with entering or exiting a…
“AWD/4WD is necessary in the snowbelt”
Nope. Nope, nope, nope! AWD may help you get started a little easier when you’re on icy/slushy surfaces, but it doesn’t help you brake or steer any better.
Whenever a family member is shopping for a car and they’re like “and I *have* to have AWD” I spend a lot of time talking them…
Exactly my point. And it’s a Nissan Xterra. The Versa has a nicer interior!
Had an ‘05 Xterra S 6MT, which I sold in lieu of an Armada when kid #3 came.
Now kid #1 is coming up on driving age so looking for a ‘14 or ‘15 Pro4X 6MT and the prices seem to be going *up* instead of down. Would be great if they brought it back.
The use case is small, but valid. When I start talking sports cars with the wife (who is a car enthusiast herself) I get much further when I mention 911, GT-R, or GT350 than I do when I say Corvette, Cayman or Miata.
yay kinja. I clicked on the wrong ‘reply’ link. I agree you and I agree.
middle aged white guy here, and the *first* thing I thought of was “man, hope those dudes* aren’t black”

Uh...you can’t just dump a shitload of Jet-A over a populated area. You also probably don’t want to dump it over major waterways, forests, or anything really. Not unless you really, really, really have to,
Counterpoint*: The G35 was more than just a badge engineered Skyline/Fairlady. On the FM platform you got a 2 seat sport coupe, a 2+2 GT, and a pretty capable sport sedan.
Holy fender gap, Batman...what they really need is some lowering springs.
Define “brown”. I have a LeMans Blue E90 with the Harvest “Brown” interior. It’s got quite a bit of red in it, but it’s for sure a shade of brown. This was a color combination available from the factory, it’s not a custom build (which I’m not even sure is available with the 3ers anyway)
Perhaps.
Can’t say I approve of the styling, that wrap would have to go, the wheels too, but that price isn’t bad. NP
This car is one of my high school heroes...but with the paint issues and some very obvious soot on the rear bumper (perhaps indicating it is not running a stock ECU or a stock fuel map)...CP...but barely.
Am I the only one that fixes the drift with recalibrating the sticks? I noticed it from day one and just assumed it was the gyros losing track of the orientation over time. Recalibrate does the trick every time. Annoying, but shrug
