Mmm.. no. The traffic stop is a far too effective tool at catching criminals that would have otherwise slipped through the cracks.
Pro-tip for Serial Killers: if you have a literal body in the trunk, don’t drive around with a busted taillight, blow through stop signs or do anything but follow all rules of the road.

When I was younger, my grandfather said something that really stuck with me. He was talking about how the police are really trained and specialized in tackling potentially dangerous investigative work, but made to do all kinds of other stuff. They’re trained for drug busts, murder investigations, that sort of thing.

This is one of the most idiotic articles ever posted on Jalopnik.

This is fine overall, but really glosses over drunk driving. A drunk on the road needs to be removed from the road as quickly as possible. Yes, you can take measures to give them options that keep them off the road in the first place, but you can’t put viable public transportation everywhere. And unless you equip

This is the problem. People get tickets for this shit and just keep on driving.

That will disproportionately affect minorities and automatically makes you a racist and is a complete non starter. because /reasons.

Some cars do tell you that information.  The problem is people can’t be bothered to fix it.

Why? If we want to have speed limits, we need some mechanism to enforce them, or they won’t be followed. So why not have fair and objective enforcement (with reasonable and proportional penalties)?

See, I’d say the opposite. My "small" town pd gets enough funding to do it's job without having to resort to revenue generation from tickets, and is therefore genuinely helpful when needed. Far better than VA state troopers, though county cops are ok. But small town cops, in my experience, care about the small town.

Your traffic ticket, brought to you by Ring, from Amazon.

I made some OC for the camera. Johnny 5 is now truly ALIVE.

For those who don’t wanna watch:

you should definitely finish it. also the End of Zoe expansion was nuts.

Agree with the others. Please don't start exclusively doing videos.  We all enjoy reading over here

Oh I thought this was an article.

Why is this a video rather than an article? I would read an article. I am not going to watch a 15 minute video.

I’m sorry, but that PS5 looks like a rejected Alienware desktop.

Thanks for the video that I’m not going to watch for something that could just as easily be text I could read at my own pace.

This seems like a big departure from the normal Resident Evil formula, even more than 7, and that's exciting to me. Very interested in how this one looks

Gotta say I really love every version of Resident Evil. The originals, the action ones (including 6), and this looks to be a great continuation of what they did in VII. Can’t wait.
