Things I noticed

The Z Proto is SO MUCH cleaner all around, especially in the rear. The rear end of the 350/370Z has always been too bulky.

Dude what are you smoking. I see similar elements that are retained (vertical door handles, cup holder placement, center arm rest design).

The original location for the indicators on the Hilux is at either end of the upper grille trim - as you mentioned, they probably didn’t meet the US requirements at the time.

My dad bought a green one of these. The turn signals were mounted in the holes for the Japanese spec mirrors. Also the passenger side had gas pedal linkage (right hand drive leftovers) that a passenger could hook his foot and accelerate the truck. Great fun!
