Ya done good.

Those stark lines did furnish excellent visibility and timeless utilitarian styling as well. :D

With the larger engine options these things drove like weightless sleighs with a hell of a lot of get up and go. I can see the appeal!

The R-bodies have aged pretty well IMO. This one is gorgeous and fairly affordable as well.

Few modern cars are plushier and have a nicer ride quality than the Town Car.

I have an indescribable affinity toward the 80s GM B-body sedans, with particular attention going toward the Caprice and Delta 88. Love the velour, wood paneling, horizontal speedometer, bench seats, squared off looks, and column shifter.

Glad to hear that it’s still going strong!

Thanks for sharing - that’s a great tale!

The Buick Century was close to it (and looks pretty good IMO), and I believe the Chevy Celebrity and Pontiac 6000 were on the same platform.

Those tail lights kicked ass. It’s a damn shame what GM made Oldsmobile into by the time of its demise. And I, for one, genuinely liked the Cutlass Ciera.

Credits are obtained by completing in-game challenges (usually around 100-250 are doled out for each completion), and the game gives you around 100 every three and a half hours of playtime or so. The credits aren’t particularly difficult to come by, but the fact that you have to spend ten credits for every play is

They’re a fun inclusion, but the fact that they cost 10 in game credits on each playthrough is a bit much. If they were one-time unlocks they’d be better.

That was beautifully put.

Agreed. Other designs from the era have also aged well.

Changing the type of vehicle showcased, or watching older films with car dealerships in them, helps.

Now playing

Not sure if posted yet, but here’s the radio audio. It goes from zero to one-hundred at about 0:52 seconds. Kudos to the NYPD.

Here’s another niche complaint that drives me nuts. The lightbars on the Diplomat/Gran Fury and on the Blazer are Code 3 MX7000's. The MX7000 didn’t come out until 1988 and mostly saw widespread use during the 1990s.

I wish more automakers had squared off, unchanging aesthetically, flagship models like this. Alternatively, I wish this gen of Century was sold stateside.

Make it a 2-tone four-door and you’ve got yourself a deal!
