I can’t imagine what running that quickly to a call of that nature does to your heart rate, and then having a deer come out of nowhere.

I love how generally smooth and un-angry looking these designs are. A welcome step compared to the current design language of furious sharp lines.

Well said!

Maybe I’m the odd man out here, but I actually really like the looks of this thing. It has a similar enough profile to the LLV, has presumably great frontward visibility, and that front bumper, while huge, probably makes low speed fender benders a non-issue.

A time of excellent visibility, easy parking averages, and subdued styling. How I wish we could go back.

The Motorcraft ones I’ve been using are too cheap to go wrong with and seem to be of fairly good quality IMO.

For one, those aren’t NYPD cops standing behind Trump. Additionally, the NYPD has installed carbon monoxide detectors in all of their Explorers from what I’ve heard.

I almost cut myself on all that edge.

I know the statue going up was a real thing, but the OP stated that Robocop “glorifies the benefits of an authoritarian regime controlled by corporations” when the film literally conveys the exact opposite message.

I hate to break it to you, but I think you misinterpreted the entire point of Robocop...

Now playing

I can’t describe how awesome it was to walk around Kamurocho for the first time in Yakuza 0. All of the neon signage and flashing lights were practically mesmerizing - one of the strongest assets of games is to be able to immerse you into another time period and place. Not to mention I was able to find my way around

They feel gimmicky, and having them makes a key replacement fairly expensive. They also have a tendency to droop when inserted if not oriented in a certain way. I’d rather just have a standard key and separate fob.

Not bad looking. Although I will say I hate that switchblade-key design that every automaker seems to think is the best thing since sliced bread.

Agreed - there’s something much more satisfying about flicking the Ford switches than using a button.

Fair point!

I still can’t get over how chintzy post-90s, but pre-bailout, GM interiors look as compared to other cars of the time.

I believe that Ford was also placing the blame on upfitters that drilled holes in the trunk area for equipment/emergency lighting installation.

I believe that quote specifically referred to the standard Explorer, and not the police-spec variant(s). I hope that officer gets better soon.

This car is too nice to kill. Pick up something rusted beyond reasonable repair if you plan to destroy something - this Olds deserves better.
