Crazy Larry in Layer Cake who says "only poofs" sleep with women…

I have a few problems with The Nostalgia Critic and many of the similar types of YouTube reviewers. First is the affected outrage. (Did the Angry Video Game Nerd start this trend at least as far as this milieu is concerned? In his wake, I've noticed other such channels as Angry Joe, Angry Centaur, The Angry GM, etc.)

The one that pretty much boiled down to "This is dumb because it isn't AD&D 2nd Edition!" He nitpicked a bunch of the rules without really understanding how they fit into the bigger picture of the game.

I was just checking to see if anyone had mentioned this track.

First edition copy of the Illiad STILL just slays me.

THE GREEN MILE - A movie that is not afraid to speak the universal truth that sometimes a black man just needs to be executed no matter how useful or extraordinary he may appear to be. (Points off for giving so little screen time to the hero of the film, Gary Sinise's character, but at least he gets to state the main

I was being somewhat facetious, but even having the series mostly outlined in advance, he still ended up writing three full 22-episode seasons of television entirely by himself (with the exception of two episodes during season five). That's nothing to sneeze at.

The natural response would be, “That is called the regular TV schedule, boo fucking hoo,” but honestly, given that Nick Pizzolatto writes the whole thing almost single-handedly, some leeway does seem fair.

OPERATION DUMBO DROP - A strongly pro-soldier movie in which the Army selflessly spreads conservatism (in the symbolic form of an elephant) to a Vietnamese village during The Other Great War.

My guess is that they see Scar's integration of the hyenas with the lions as an allegory for letting the Mexicans over the border. (Hell, one of the hyenas is voiced by Cheech Marin.) They also probably believe the lack of food is due to Scar giving away too much "free stuff" to the hyenas and not making them work for

At the end of the day, though, Ferris is pretty much the Objectivist ideal. I think that wins out over any other flaws they might perceive.

Also portrays drug use and misogyny in a positive light.

Yep, and Gordon quotes the end of the book during Bruce Wayne's memorial service.

WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN - Defends the second amendment by demonstrating how massacres can be perpetrated with other weapons besides guns.

I feel like libertarianism is what keeps libertarianism from being taken seriously.

SUPERMAN (1978) - A cautionary tale of the dangers illegal immigrants represent to enterprising, self-made businessmen, in this case destroying a real estate venture in the interests of a socialistic "greater good."

THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE - A closeknit Texas family headed by a strong patriarch (and small business owner) successfully defends their home from a bunch of hippies.

My understanding was that the game was made and that the Kickstarter was more to fund the actual printing and manufacturing.

Didn't they also make the first Star Wars RPG? I hear people speaking of that with much reverence fairly often.

The absence of Meliora invalidates The AV Club's list.
