Can’t they just build in hooks that trigger the viewers’ own spotify accounts to play specific tracks at specific times synched with the stream? Same could apply to youtube, you’d be able to trigger another video to play the track in the background from its legitimate source on the viewer’s machine/account. Then

Doing stuff like this with an established franchise is fair enough, but I wish they did it as well as, rather than instead of, a more traditional version. This situation is no better than that Castlevania pachinko machine.

As a one minute BBC promo it has to be pretty eye-catching for randos in the UK, so it makes sense why they went with something like this as they’re probably trying to attract a younger crowd too.
