As a professional cg artist, our community is still fairly small. These sorts of things will hurt him trying to get a job, or fund a project in the future. There IS such a thing as bad PR.

My wife and I play this game when we’re driving around. We see a mustang, and depending on the car itself, guess if the driver is a man or woman. Once you start seeing how many women drive mustangs, you just can’t stop looking for it. Amazing how many women buy those things.

The problem with that particular concept art is how it was protrayed to look like it was a still from the game. MOST concept art in no way looks like it’s a still from the game its made for. I’m with you on the overly minimalistic aesthetic. I honestly couldn’t be sure this sequel looked better than the original. Which is a testament I guess to how ahead of it’s time, the original looked.
